Okay, okay. Here's 1.
Manchester United (me) vs Internazionale (CPU) WEFA Champions League QF. The 1st leg (me at home) ended 2-1 in my favour.
Details are a bit sketchy as it happened a while ago, but...
Midway through the 1st half Vieri scores the goal which would effectively take Internazionale through the the SF's on goal difference. I'm starting to play hard, partly through frustration at the lack of opportunities and desire to get back in the lead. Then, on the stroke of half-time disaster... Gary Neville goes in with a tackle from behind on Inter's winger and it's a straight red card.
Anyway, like eggs am I changing my formation from my preferred 4-4-2 so I leave it as it is with a gap down the right wing which Pochettino is going to cover, with my defensive line moving over when needed.
Then, at the start of the 2nd half disaster turns into nightmare. With Vieri bursting towards the goal I attempt a last-ditch tackle inside the area, which I knew I shouldn't have done right after I press the button. Pochettino brings him down and the ref points to the spot, only, to make matters worse, he sends off Pochettino for a 2nd booking to take me down to 9 men. The penalty is scored, I need 1 goal to tie the game and I've got 9 men.
Whether I want to or not a formation change is now unavoidable, so I bite the bullet and bring off Roberto Baggio for Mexes to bolster then back line and C. Ronaldo makes way for Song-Chong Gug who takes up the right back role. I decided to take off my two players with the lowest stamina in the hope that if any substitutions needed to be made later they'd be tactical rather than forced due to tiredness. I'm now playing a mutated 4-3-1, with Keane protecting the back 4 and Nedved and Okocha, sort of playing OMF/SMF roles in support of Van Nistelrooy as my lone striker.
At about the 65th minute, persistance pays off and, with Inter obviously going forward due to my lack of number I catch them off guard and Nedved shoots from the edge of the area, passed Toldo and the scores are tied.
Well, I've at least made a game of it I think, but if extra time comes around then I won't be able to make many changes due to my indiscipline, and they'll probably win it then.
10mins later though, extra-time becomes an impossibility as Van Nistelrooy rushes onto a lobbed through ball from Nedved which he finishes comfortably to make it 2-2. Now Inter need 2 goals in the last 10mins-15mins to advance. All I need to do is stop them scoring them.
The game ends, 2-2. My 9 men somehow manage an amazing turnaround from being down and out just after the start of the 2nd half to overcoming the highly-rated Inter defense (highest rating on my game) and advancing to the SFs, where my opponents were AC Milan.
That season I went on to win my 1st CL title and am currently defending that crown.
