This is my first match thread so pls give advice if I do anything wrong
This is the second time we face Fulham, after a sore 1-3 defeat in October. This match will be played at Loftus Road in Fulham on the Saturday 28th of February, 15:00. Fulham boss Chris Coleman is still in the hospital for an infection and will probably miss this clash, but despite being with him at the helm, his side defeated West Ham 3-0 in the FA Cup replay.
Sequences
Fulham - Failed to win in last 2 home matches.
Man U - 23 games since last away draw. No win in 2 recent matches.
Suspensions: Gary Neville (headbutt against McManaman vs City)
Probable lineup:
---------Saha---RVN-------
-----------Scholes-----------
Giggs--------------Ronaldo
------------Keane------------
Fortune-Wes--O'Shea-Phil
-----------Howard-----------
Bench: Carroll, Fletcher, Kleberson, Butt, Bellion
FULHAM XI (4-4-2, hammyend.com): van der Sar; Volz, Green, Knight, Goma; Legwinski, Davis, Petta, Malbranque; Boa Morte, McBride. Subs: Crossley, Pearce, Djetou, Inamoto, Hayles.
Players to look out for:
RVN - After such a disappointing display at Porto, expect him to work harder and clinch his chances.
Cristiano Ronaldo - Very fresh, save for a bit of jet lag. Only played 10 minutes against Porto. Expecting him to be a big factor in this match.
Brian McBride - Filled Saha's position well in Fulham, dangerous forward.
Sean Davis - In excellent form, will put up a good fight in battle for midfield.
Prediction - Man U to win 3-0. After being defeated by Boro, and drawing with Leeds, then losing again to Porto in the 1st Leg, something has to give. The Red Devils will play so offensively in this match that Fulham will be under pressure at all times.
