Another 45 minutes of football to go, lets hope for the best, Porto can just get a goal easily when there is McCarthy lurking around in the box.

Very balanced match so far. I remember ManU taking 3 shots at goal during the whole half: one was goal and the other should have been, since Scholes was onside. Porto had 2 good chances in the last 15 minutes but missed both.
I think it should be a draw up until this point, but that could be my bias doing the talking. :p

I don't know what's the matter with these kids on this board, though. The ref was excellent and all the fouls he whistled so far did exist, including those on Carlos Alberto. No matter how he ended up on the floor or not, fact is they were fouls, like it or not.
Carlos Alberto faked a penalty when he should have tried to shoot, but the ref told him to get up, so I think he's been fair so far.
Also, we must realize this ref was under extreme pressure from both coaches during the past week, so that only increases my respcet for him. At least so far.

I think it's time to step it up a little bit offensively. ManU already showed they're shaky on the defence. It's clearly their weakest spot, so we MUST put the emphasis there!

My prediction: ManU - 2 x Porto - 3

Instead of being here, we're actually paying attention to every detail on the pitch. I just can't take away my eyes from the ball.

Pretty scrappy, quite physical, and a marvellous goal, O'Shea was excellent.

Saha is on, van Nistelrooy upfront alone wasn't working today, there defence has been good, although they passed it back in the line of Ruud earlier, but Ruud didn't use his pace.

Did you catch the trip over the ball "foul"? He has dived a few times and got away with it, but I think the ref has been as fair as he can be. You are right about the pressure though.
