Like Ryan said, Duff can play wing or the forwards role so he's the type of player that Man Utd will like to get because he can play more than one position well. For £10m he'd be a great purchase.

Duff coming to United could be the best thing to happen to Giggs.

Ryan Giggs has one of his best season in the 1998/99 (Treble) season when he had Jesper Blomqvist competing for his place.

Either Duff or Giggs can also play off a main striker like van Nistelrooy.

Real Sociedad has rejected claims that United have made bids for Nihat.

At the start of the season there are suggestions that United are nursing Barthez through one last season at United. The Frenchman has had his fair share of injuries and United might not be making a mistake by selling him on.

I wasn't impressed by what I saw of him last night I must say. But the Turkey as a team were poor so maybe it was the wrong match to judge his ability on.

I'd be disappointed if he went. Even last season I was defending him, he made some howlers but he is one of the best in the buisness, especially when it comes to reflex saves. This season he's been back to his best though, let's just hope that he continues like this for the rest of his time at Man Utd and doesn't return to the mistakes of last season.

The thing with Barthez is that he is inconsistent. This season he has been much better, and has ditched a lot of the nonsense that he demonstrated last season.

However, he, as I said, has had his fair share of injuries. If we do have to sell one of our big stars he could be it, alongside Juan Veron. Niemi will be a younger goalkeeper who has shown that he can play well in the Premiership.

i could agree barthez was inconsistent last season but look at the save against liverpool's dietmar hamann's cracking volley...

Can we get a reality check here at the moment we are talking about manchester united the richest football club in england. If they were going to sell one of the stars it wouldnt be for money it would be because one of there playewrs would have a fall out with Fergie.
