Not a really good player yet ATM. But I think he has very good speed, and I hope he'll improve and become a first-team player in United and a main man for China in the future.

I really hope that Dong succeeds even though I hate Man Utd. It would be a major step in Chinese soccer if he becomes a squad player.

But I wouldn't have much hope in him. The Chinese aren't really skillful players. I read that their national team coach still needs to implement basic passing and touch practices for the national team. I just hope Dong picks up these skills quick and more Chinese players make it to Europe

I be happy to get rid of Forlan at any price, But I keep hearing more **** from the press that Giggs, Rio and Ruud are all been linked with other clubs and could be sold, I am getting fed up by this. :f***:

giggs will stay.
ruud will stay
even if we lose rio,we can get 2-3 quality players instead, not that i hate rio,but this is just in case roman flies out his chequebook

forlan..............
we can sell him for 6-7 and then add 3-4 to get vdv

Forlan was a rare case of Fergie getting it wrong in the transfer market. South Americans always seem to have trouble adapting to the Premier League and especially so when they are just a squad player as opposed to being a regular so I think we would do well to sell him for around 6 million.

As for all the other speculation, it happens towards the end of every season so I wouldn't pay too much attention to it.

I'll be sad to see Forlan go, if he does. It's a real shame that he's not quite made the grade at United yet because he seems like a really nice bloke. I still hope that he'll suddenly find some form and turn into a great striker. :) ... and we'll keep him.

United sign Gay Meadow youngster

Shrewsbury Town manager Jimmy Quinn has revealed that Gay Meadow youngster Sean Evans has signed for Premiership giants Manchester United.

The former Northern Ireland international has given his blessing to the move, which is reportedly worth a "substantial" amount to the non-league outfit, after the Under-16 midfielder impressed during a six-week trial stint with The Red Devils.

"We are delighted for Sean and hope that he goes on to have a very successful career with Manchester United," Quinn told Shrewsbury's official website.

"We believe that our youth policy is an important ingredient in the club's future and we are delighted that our faith is being repaid, not only by today's announcement, but by the number of former youth players who are now part of the first team squad."

Evans is a skilful left winger who will be sad to leave Town after joining the club as a nine-year-old.

However, the chance to move to Old Trafford is one he could only have dreamed about, and the prospect of learning from the likes of Ryan Giggs in the future must be thrilling the teen starlet.

RVN to miss 2 more matches

RUUD van Nistelrooy’s fear that he may need knee surgery have been allayed after a scan on the Manchester United striker’s injury revealed no serious damage.

The Dutchman missed the FA Cup semi-final victory against Arsenal with a swollen knee.

The Reds’ medical staff are recommending van Nistelrooy doesn’t play over Easter, however, so he is likely to miss the fixtures against Birmingham City and Leicester City.

Louis Saha, cup-tied last weekend, is set to be recalled and Diego Forlan may also get a starting spot.

Seem like it was Vieira's tackle that cause his knee to be swollen until now. :f***:

No worries though, We play Ole and Saha upfront then. Not sure if Forlan will get his chance.

The Red Devil
Saha and Forlan did very well together at Loftus Road vs Fulham last month, give Forlan a chance.

Saha and Bellion would be a delight to see, Bellion is raw talent at the moment, but has a brilliant finish, as we saw vs Leeds in the Carling Cup, and the game vs Spurs the other week.

If someone is willing to pay 3 million for him I will be over the moon.

Wenger cheap shot at us again

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger may have just experienced how difficult a Treble challenge can be, but he still could not resist a side-swipe at Manchester United's 1999 clean sweep.
Wenger recognised the scale of United's achievement in praising their 'exceptional team and strength of character' in winning the Premiership, FA Cup and Champions League five years ago.

However, he added: 'I would like to compare their draw in the FA Cup to our draw this year. I don't think it's comparable. They played a few teams with less resistance.

'The competition also wasn't as strong in the Premier League. There are more teams who can now fight and compete with them.'

mr Frustration, shut up for a minute, will ya :funny:
