He will never win any personal accolades like "player of the year" until he ceases to cheat.

I gotta disagree with this part, unfortunately. Kaka isn't the cleanest player out there, as some might think. Its all his evangelistic christian image that he creates of a good guy. But in truth Kaka dives as well.

Not, as much as Ronaldo though still, so don't think i'm blind myself, because that dive against Derby was absolutely unnecessary. I'm not condoning what he did and does, but then you get refs giving Ronaldo yellow cards when he gets tripped and his legs taken out, there is bound to be some backlash. So he retaliates by diving and then reinforces his reputation and it becomes a closed circuit. There was a period when he didn't dive for like 8 month and people still called him a diver all through out.

agree with help....i am more worried about someone injuring ronaldo and the referee seeing it as "he deserved it"

In short, unless the diving feature from PES isnt removed, we might as well get used to future players diving more :(

SAF has sent a really young team to Roma (H), including Brandy and Hewson. I think especially Brandy could cause a few problems for Roma, considering he is a very good player. He reminds me of a mixture of Saha and Defoe.

The complete squad: Kuszczak, Heaton, Brown, Eckersley, O''Shea, Pique, Evans, Simpson, Lee, Chester, Cleverley, Hewson, Nani, Eagles, Carrick, Fletcher, Dong, Brandy, Saha, Rooney.

I agree - I think the wider issue is the leg breaking challenges that he falls victim to each week because of this reputation. I have seen ridiculous challenges and lunges on him over the past year or so. Cristiano is the media's "what's wrong with footballers" card for 2007 (although they fawn over his skill)

Anyway ... To swing the conversation to happier matters, I gotta say how much Anderson has impressed me with each game. He now seems to be trying to express himself in addition to the simple effective game he played when he was first introduced. I can't wait to see him hit his first goal (because I think it will help him immensely) I think now we'll see the tricks and flicks start to appear - I don't think he'll go mad with them though, he'll use them effectively.

Probably something like, tough, fighting, determined with great skill. Not flashy, but very direct and effective.

He has definietly improved immensely, since that mediocre debut after his little night out with Ronaldo and Nani. He tracks back and tackles like Hargeaves, fights for everything, doesn't give the ball easily and in addition he has great dribble skills, great vision, great passing and just good attacking. He was supposed to replace Scholes, but he might turn out to be something that we have been missing since Keane. Scholes can't defend or tackle and Anderson surely can, might not be as good as Scholes yet attacking wise, but give it time, 2 or 3 years. He is destined for the Brazilian starting line-up next World Cup.

Oh please Anderson is not your answer to Keane...not even close. He hustles, tries to tackle, but doesnt mean hes good at it. First he was going to be a left back, now you all want him to be a DM, not even. Let the kid play as a free role atacking midfield and you all will be saying "KAKA who? Ronaldinho Who? Beleive me two years of watching this guy destroy the portuguese league before he got injured i can say attacking mid or your wasting his talents.

yeah you're right, i didn't expect Ferguson to start him in a more defensive role, Anderson has probably almost as much attacking abilty as Ronaldo, he wasn't meant to be a center/defensive midfielder, but whatever if his manager decides to play him like that he's not going to complain..

No, there is nobody like Keane, however his defensive abilities make him much closer to Keane than Scholes ever was. Also, Keane was never our defensive midfielder, just because he would track back a lot, doesn't mean that he didn't attack just as much. He scored over 50 goals and got numerous assists for us for a reason, he was a box-to-box midfielder and again Anderson seems to have the qualities for that with more skill. In my opinion, box-to-box midfielder is more valuable than Attacking midfielder. Don't worry, if Ferguson was intending to use Anderson as a defensive player, then he would have never taken Hargreaves and Carrick. All i'm saying is that Anderson was a so-called replacement for Scholes when we got him, while i think that he is more similar to Keane. Keane's role wasn't as a defensive midfielder, but more of a playmaker/box-to-box player that controlled everything, hence the confusion.

Why is that, Nettles?

pshh scholes dun need a replacement for a couple years. honestly if you already have a proven and experienced prem player then use him as much as possible instead o throwin him on the bench as an occasional sub.

Anderson is playing superbly. He has the potential to be Paul Scholes, with the ability to tackle. I'm sorry Paulo, but you must not be watching Man Utd games, because how anybody can criticise Andersons peformance and the way hes being played, must be stupid. He's playing like a complete central midfielder, and at only 19 years old. He's showing an amazing range of passing, with the occasional dribbling and tricks. And the kid has great determination and tackling.

No complaints.

Hurts me to say this but players like him are honestly better off at Arsenal than Man U or Chelsea.
Are you saying we dont play attacking fotball?
as i see it ferguson is using him where he is most needed at the time!
I guess we just have to wait and see but i don't think Ferguson was thinking defensive when he signed him!
