I think Veloso played well. He played some awesome passes in the middle of the park sometimes, especially one where he lifted the ball over 2 of our players. He impressed by playing simply, picking up the ball, and distributing it. He looks a nice player, he draws some comparisons to Michael Carrick in my eyes. But I don't think he's an essential acquisition for us at this time. But I wouldn't object to his signing.

Me neither, I think he would be a good addition to the squad. Would he be willing to be a squad player to begin with though? Certainly he seems to make all the right noises about his wish to play for us.

rossi has scored 7 league goals in 8 appearences..
i still feel gutted n sick as to why he was allowed to move on
right now..with rooney injured..we needed a 4th striker....
that kid is a genius.....
its bad to allow him to go after he spent 3 years of promise at our reserves na academy

Erm yeah....he was raised in Killyleagh, and played for Lisburn Youth and Down Academy High School in Downpatrick. He signed for Manchester United in August 1999, just four days before his 20th birthday. He made his debut for the Manchester United first team in a League Cup tie away to Aston Villa on 13 October 1999. In February 2000 he was loaned to Port Vale, but before playing for them he made his international debut.

i didnt know David Healy was an ex-red. You mean he was our product from the academy?

Yep he is one of ours - and probably one that Fergie most regrets letting go in the last few years.

Ronnie Wallwork and Luke Chadwick, but to name a few. But saying that though, I don't think he will regret with bringing in the likes of Ronaldo, Rooney, Nani and Tevez, I don't think he'll lose too much sleep over it.

Starting XI
Look at the strikeforce we had in 1999, he was never going to get anywhere near our first team. Like Ferguson said, Man Utd got a very good offer from Preston, and it was right to let him go. I don't rate Healy as highly as everyone else, but we can be proud that we contributed towards making a quality player.

We've got Aston Villa in the FA Cup for what feels like the millionth time...

I'm happy with that draw. Out of all the Premier League teams I like Villa because we seem to play really well at their place, be it against Villa or in the (old) FA Cup Semi finals there - I don't think we've lost a game there for many years. And of course if it's at the Traff then even better.

In any case, getting smaller teams usually turns out to be a double edged sword for us - We get bloody noses like with Barnet and Exeter.

Very poor decision indeed. Some of the offsides didn't look like it were correct either.

Some players such as Tevez could've passed the ball in some occasions instead of wanting personal glory.

Still, good to watch your matches, with the attractive attacking football (Y)
