For 4m for one season it isn't too bad, if he doesn't work out we havn't lost too much, although Im not sure how he would fit into our starting line up and whether he would be prefered to Rooney. Hopefully he won't have an unsettling effect like Veron, where we signed a played we didn't really need and then tried to fit him in.

He'd lead the line with Rooney. Who else is going to take his place ? Saha ? Not when he gets a torn hamstring every other week. It will be Rooney and Tevez ripping it apart upfront.

Nope, eventually Anderson and Nani are going to replace Scholes and Giggs. Then who will be sitting on the bench ? In times when players are injured we could employ a 5 man midfield with one striker. It's not going to be a wasteful squad, just a one with great depth, what we need. Young effective players ready to come on from the bench and develop, like Ronaldo in his first season with us....

Scholes and Giggs legs are starting to ware down and cantplay a full season, plus CL, plus english cup, plus FA cup... Nani and anderson were brought in to share time, carrick and OH will prob switch from time to time... and Park and Fletcher should be lucky there even on the bench so they shouldnt even complain

Buddy, there are about 60 games on the campaign.

Plus, Park and Fletcher are not going to be part of the main puzzle anymore. And we know how injuries always happen to hit us at some point. 7 or 8 players for 4 or 5 positions is not that bad of a deal.

I've seen it on a few sites, it seems we have reached an agreement but it's not a done deal, I think West Ham will desperately try to hang on to him.
On further reading though, unless we buy Tevez outright from Joorabchian, I wouldn't go near Tevez the thought of the title being decided in a courtroom doesn't appeal to me. It seems West Ham may still be in the trouble over him.

Oh my God! When I heard the reports this morning I was saying "yeah whatever" because it broke in the Daily Mirror (so so reliable) and now it looks like it might happen!

Wow, I love how we don't wait long and just buy without big transfer sagas (like in previous seasons). I wonder who will go, Smith, Richardson, Heinze?

The way I see it we finally got quality players to mix around all the competitions. Thats what screwed us in Europe, when are players got tired, we just ran out of steam to some degree, the players could only keep going & playing how they were for so long. All the injuries etc.

Dont want to jinx it, but dare I say it. This team looks like it might mimic that of the treble winners?

Will have too see how they Gel pre season.

I've always wondered what that scar was on his face. Makes him look like hes a mafia mobster or something.

Tevez has a distinctive scar from the right ear, down his neck to his chest. This occurred when he was ten months old while he was exploring the terrain of his mother’s kitchen floor he inadvertently pulled a kettle of boiling water over himself. This caused third-degree burns to the right side of his face, neck and chest and left him in intensive care for almost two months. Today the scars are a visible signature of Tevez, who refused an offer from his Boca Juniors to have them cosmetically improved, saying that the scars were a part of who he was in the past and who he is today.

I'm impressed he turned down cosmetics for such a scar, most footballers r so self indulged. I like this guy he seems hardcore, no nonsense player. Him and rooney upfront is going to be top.

we've been good with signings ever since Kenyon ****ed off, his record with us and Chelsea shows that he can't sign anyone without paying at least twice the players value, or offering mammoth wages lol.

eek hope we don't get branded for being like chelsea, finally splashed out on some big cash. I guess the difference it the majority of your signings are young players. We spend 40, get 2 young up and coming stars. Chelsea buy some old player who's done class.

I guess each method has its own problems, hope Anderson doesn't flop after watching him recently.

Wonder if we will start to go back up the richest club ranking, think we dropped down to 4th after real, barc, juve

yes...its a very young team. i am not expecting nani and anderson to be in the 1st eleven week in week out. but hopefully they will adapt fast. I am not sure about anderson. haven really seen him play full 90 mins. But hopefully tevez along ronaldo and rooney can bring us far in the CL.
