typical Fergie mind games, can't be bothered, I'm sure everyone's used to ol' red nose's comments b4 big games.......hehe

Grant did the same thing to, when he talked about West Ham giving up. What he wanted is to Wigan to hear the comments and make sure that they try their best. Ferguson is just hitting back.

Well did Grant's comments come b4 or after the game against West Ham? If it was after, then he had a right to say something about something that's already been concluded, whereas Sir Alex is accusing Bolton players of partying/celebrating b4 our game against them. If what Grant said was b4 the game, just ignore what I said.

All Grant and our players said is to hope Wigan will give Utd a fight. Fergie could've been more sensible by just saying that Bolton should give 100% against us despite being virtually safe but instead he accused Bolton of celebrating b4 the game against us.(to rile them up I suppose)

remember, its different circumstances for Wigan and Bolton, Bolton looked dead and buried a month ago and Wigan were just merely flirting with relegation maybe thats why the Bolton players were celebrating in front of their fans after the Sunderland game, and add to that, Wigan are playing their last game at HOME in front of their fans, while Bolton is coming to the Bridge.
Surely, u get the idea m8.

btw, i disagree with the playoff idea that Grant's proposing, the table doesn't lie but I do believe it should come to down to head-to-head results if the points are level, which would hand the title over to you guys nonetheless but at least its a bit more fair(lets change to a different scenario, lets say our goal difference is just separated by 2 but we're still level on points).

Attacking football needs to be rewarded, that's the way football should be played, so goal difference is the best solution for me....

Okay, but what if both teams were attacking teams and they were only separated by one goal in goal difference? would it still be fair?

Grant said that before the game and after the game. But really what he was trying to do after the game is get the media's attention, so that they would attack West Ham and thus indirectly putting pressure on Wigan to give their best in order to avoid the same attack. He didn't really care about what already happened.

Anyway, the playoff proposal wasn't really a proposal. Avram was just joking around with the media, so i don't think he'll be pushing for that idea any further than today. To me though, it is fair without it, in a sense that it promotes attacking football and when the goal difference is big like in our case, but it is unfair when goal difference is small. However, i don't see a way of fixing it, you can't just say if a goal difference is 3 goals or less, then we have a playoff. What happens if it ends up being 4 goals, you know what i mean? It would have been unfair, but life is far more unfair than that and we just have to live with it.

Man City. That's the thing with them, as long as they beat United they are in 9th heaven. Personally, i don't mind losing to them, if it means that we win the EPL at the end of the season. They can have their wins over us, we'll have our EPL titles and everybody is happy, right? :)
