I hear you guys are linked with Arteta, would be a class buy(Y)

Yes it would, but I suspect Everton will extract the pi$$ in terms of a transfer fee for him.

That was a genuinely nice goal. Love the way he combined with the others, especially Ronaldo.

Manchester United to offer Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville coaching roles

Manchester United will ask veteran trio Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville to remain at Old Trafford as coaches when their playing days come to an end.

All three have recently penned one-year extension deals, which will keep them at the Red Devils until the end of next season.

Giggs has almost 800 appearances for United since progressing through the youth system, while Neville and Scholes are both exceeding 500 outings for the club.

And United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes theit vast experience is central to developing the future generations on the red half of Manchester.

"They are living proof for young players that the United [Manchester United] system allows players to succeed," Ferguson told L’Equipe.

"When they stop playing they will stay. All three are taking their coaching diplomas. I don’t think the club will pass up that much experience."

Ferguson also earmarked Patrice Evra, John O’Shea and Darren Fletcher as future team leaders, will addressing concerns regarding United’s debt following recent comments from out-going Ben Foster and chief executive David Gill.

"Protesting has become a reflex action these days. There are fans protesting against the Glazers [Manchester United's owners], which doesn’t bother me because it doesn’t interfere with the team," he added.

"The fans love their club here and they are worried. I don’t share their worry.

"I have a talented squad, a superb training complex, a magnificent stadium, we’re fighting for the biggest titles every season so it’s easy for me to keep my distance from all these issues."

C Ronaldo was sad when other team mates score lol

CR hated it when Higuain scored for Real Madrid. I bet he is also pushing for Higuain's exit from Madrid so that we can snatch him up for the upcoming season.

I don't agree that quiet playerss cannot become good managers. There are lots of quiet managers out there. Capello for eg is a not-so-vocal manager. I don't think Scholes would ever become a manager, but wouldn't be surprised if Giggs did. He's been our 2nd captain since 2006 afterall and has had a lot of influence on our youngsters. He's not really "quiet".

Capello has the ego to deal with the media, I'm not sure that Giggs does too

Capello usually doesn't give away much to the media and is never involved in "mind games". If Capello can manage, I don't see why Giggs wouldn't be able to. I'm not saying Giggs would become a good manager but there's no reason why he wouldn't. He usually handles the media pretty well in general.

LOL...Rio hurt himself in training and will miss the WC...out four to six weeks.

The dude is seriously made of glass. It'll be a miracle if he makes the United opening day lineup in August.

Time for evans to step up and form a formidable partnership with vidic. Cant rely on Rio anymore.

No good, Evans is hurt every other week too.

This is what I've been saying forever...all of our defenders are very, very injury-prone.
