Yeah, it's probably because Magath has a very strict way of leading. The players probably weren't happy with that but hey, it got them past Valencia so you can't say that it doesn't work. And Rangnick is a good coach. He coached Hoffenheim well but it doesn't mean that he'd be good with Schalke. Especially since the players were used to Magath's leadership.

Yep he is a good coach with a bad reputation. I don't know how crazy this might sound but Magath in my opinion can win the CL with a good team. But that man has some problems and no one really likes him that much due to his working style. Though that man is a winner.

SAF has mentioned quite often that he made mistakes in the 09 finale.....I hope he has something up his sleeves against Barca.....it certainly won't be easy.......I am more worried about the cheating and diving though.....

If it is a United Vs Barca final, Barcelona are gonna be clear favorites. I'm not sure if playing at Wembley will be of help for us or not. Barcelona will probably win it but I think we can do it with the proper tactics.

I think Sir Alex should rest most players in the second leg. I don't care if we draw but I think it will be crucial resting the players. I'd probably play this:

Barça is not a team of cheaters, we only focus in attacking and score goals i always watch Barça. They were divers today but the style it also change, look at Guardiola press conference before the match. We responded with dives Madrid's violence.

I'm afraid this team will lose to Schalke by at least 1 goal. This team will lose to Bolton by at least 1 goal. Why do you want to rest players anyway? The CL final is weeks away and after next week's 2nd leg we will have a week break for all the games. So the only benefit of resting players in 2nd leg is to have them fresh for Chelsea, after that they will all be fresh anyway.

When you said this I started thinking which other team you should be worried about other than United. I'm surprised but I can't find any TBH. European teams are not as powerful as they used to be. With that United team we would've NEVER been in the semifinal 5-6 years back.

At the beginning of the season, couldn't think of any team that could win the UCL other than Barcelona/Madrid. Usually I can come up with 10 possible title contenders. But now there are only a few teams.

Thats OLD TRAFFORD. If it was an away game I'd say we would lose by 3 goals. But we are outstanding at home.

I think it would be crucial to rest players for the Chelsea game. Very important after playing 4 games in 1.5 weeks. Chelsea on the other hand would've played half the number of games in the same time period.

We beat Arsenal with a much worse team. 7 defenders. I'm confident we can beat them with that team.

I think the reason we beat Arsenal was because those players had a week rest and Arsenal had a CL midweek game with Barca, after which they were also heartbroken. I highly doubt those same 7 defenders would be able to do it on an even match schedule.

You might be right but I think this Shalke team can definitely be held at Old Trafford with the team I mentioned. Ok, I'd probably kick Evans out and play Vidic. Then you can be assured of a very strong back 4.

Gibson is crap but he rarely makes mistakes that cost us games. Fabio is a fullback but I think he did an excellent job in midfield when he played this season.

Other than these 3 players, I think its a strong team.

Chelsea, Madrid, you, Arsenal, Inter would have been some very tough draws in the knockouts.

But as I said United seem at a different level from the rest, you are whitty and have a unified team which has great chemistry and long years of being together as well as Nani, Rooney, Park, Valencia, Vidic, Ferdinand, and Chicharito which has impressed me. United is gonna be no walk in the park, if we think that we might as well not play in the final

^Team chemistry has always been the most important factor for us. As Evra said, "we don't have a star player. Our star is the team itself".

Eboue and Vermaelen are both out for the game this weekend. On our side, Berbatov is out and Fletcher is doubtful. I'm nervous about this game. I'm confident of a draw at least though.

Btw, VDS said recently: “United have made their decision [regarding his replacement]. It’s not Neuer, but I can’t say any more than that.”

I hope its De Gea. Neuer would've been a dream but De Gea really impressed me. Lets see.

I have a gut feeling that it's Stekelenburg, especially when VDS felt saying something about it in public, we'll see...will be an interesting summer.
