Well, maybe I am wrong but I just think that when a player is gone, there surely is no reason to ponder over him, except for wishing him the Best of Luck for his playing career. Every player. Even Ronaldo.

Giggs and Scholes are still at the Best of their playing abilities. There is no need to worry about it at all. Let the time come, then we will think about what can be done. We have quality backup.

I hope to god this isn't true.

Reports emulating from the Middle East are suggesting that a Saudi Arabian prince is ready to make a substantial investment in an English club with Liverpool believed to be the team in question.

The financial difficulties being experienced by the Reds' owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks have been well documented with the American duo reportedly willing to negotiate the sale of a significant percentage of shares in the Anfield club.

Arabian newspaper reports are now claiming that Fahd bin Abdullah, chairman of F6, a Saudi-based marketing and investment company, is close to securing 50 per cent of the shares in the unnamed club, largely understood to be Liverpool.

"We are currently seeking to buy 50 per cent of the shares in the club which is now suffering with debts worth £245 million," Abdullah is quoted as saying by Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh.

"The transaction, upon which a decision is close to be reached, will be worth 200 to 350 million pounds."

Manchester City are the outstanding example of an English club benefiting from Arab investment with the Abu Dhabi United Group funding the signings of the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Gareth Barry, Carlos Tevez and Robinho.

A liverpool with unlimited funds is stuff of nightmares!! :D

VDS hasn't played this season and we are top of the league. Sure Foster made some mistakes and probably Kuzschack should be playing, but both of them have played maybe like 10-15 games each in total in the last 2 seasons, confidence and experience will build for whoever has to replace VDS. We were told we rely too much on Beckham, too much on Van Nistelrooy, too much on Ronaldo, yet we are still up there. What happened? Oh right, Scholes and Giggs, surely once they are gone we are gonna drop to 4th place, no? Or are we?

Of course not, but someone should've really stepped in and taken over by now. They can't play as many matches now as they did back then, and they need to be replaced. That's not just true of them, it's true of any player in his mid 30's barring some really odd cases.

Did anyone else see Fergie embarassing Evans by telling his girlfriend to 'tie him down'? What a legend, I'll bet he's behind all the marriages at Old Trafford.

you didn't know that? he forced several players to marry on a same day to avoid any honeymoon absence ...:innocent_smile_1:

his main problem with Beckham was victoria, he wanted David to marry with his own daughter.:):biggrinx:

Captain Giggs is United's greatest player in the history in terms of success and reputation if not quality.

What a f*cking finish by Carrick!

I thought we were slow starting in the first half, but Berba coming on changed that. Anderson's done well too - looks more confident.

Here comes Darren :)

Well damn... thay had me worried all the way to the end. They never stopped playing. Think they lived up to the hype.

Great play by the team... was a little frustrating to watch but lots of players had a decent game. I cant think of anyone who looked bad tonight. Carrick and Anderson looked real nice tonight. Hope to see ando get forward more, he's starting to look dangerous.

I think their goal was offside and giggs second wasn't offside because the wolfsborg player made the final touch.

Yeah, me too - I want Ando to get more goals, like he did for Porto.

mikey, he scored just 2 goals for Porto!!!!

That's twice as many as he has ever scored for United!

Berbs had 3 badass heel flicks today. Since when was he so cool?

Great finish by Carrick, to make up for the one he biffed in the first half.

He played less matches in Porto than in United :S (18-2)
So average goals/game is higher when he was in Porto.

Anyway, goal of Carrick was awesome and the play of Wolfsburg impressed me. They played well although it was an away match. Also hope Anderson could do better as so.
Giggs is making a perfect rejuvenation.

Edit : Congrats for Giggs's 150th goal :bouncy:

Berbatov: A touch of class

And an interesting article in the Sun.

Berba: My hell as a Utd Flop - Good read... not as bad as it sounds. Seems very hard on himself.

Yeah - I hope Old Trafford gets behind him this weekend. It's both sad and really good to hear a player say something like this, and not throw blame around. Fair play to Berba, I reckon that will endear himself to a lot more fans too.

I think he's class, I was doing cartwheels when we bought him :) He used to scare the sh*t out of me when he played against us!!

He's much better this season for us though, he changed the game on Wednesday night. You know the saying: "Form is temporary - class is permanent" Berba is class.

It was an interesting interview. As Mikey said, he needs more support from fans, he's trying much harder this year and it showed up so far.
