sounds like tabloid talk... Owen had the same injury for a long time. Its not like he's had lots of different ones. Even before he joined us, he had it.

It was know from the start if he had that op it would be career changing, out for a year+. End result should be him playing a lot longer. If he has problems 6 months after he returns, then I think they will start looking for other options.

Well the papers love to seize on the negatives because the ABU's eat it up and want to believe the wheels are coming off.

Until I hear an announcement from United about it - I'll disreguard it. Owen has suffered tendonitis as a result of a broken leg at Bayern, it has never truly healed so Sir Alex and Owen opted to forsake last season so Owen could sort it out and come back stronger this season (which as I've heard nothing I'm assuming he'll be okay for.)

They raised a good point on MUTV that Darren Fletcher would stand in as our holding midfielder allowing Anderson or Carrick to go forward.

I think if Owen doesn't return then we'll make a move for a new DM.

kind of sad to see ronaldo in a madrid jersey and not a united one though. Attitude and theatrics aside, he was a phenomenal player. I am sure he will receive a warm reception if he were to come back to OT.

Anyway, looks like we are using the money to bring in youngsters and blood them. SAF is looking further than all of us.

Yeah kind of sad but life moves on. I was happy the way he talked about Man Utd and SAF. I'm sure he'll excel in La Liga. If he did it in the EPL, he'll surely do it again in La Liga.

Obertan is almost a deal done now. We've got quite a lot of wingers now if the deal goes through. Nani, Obertan, Park, Valencia, Tosic, Welbeck, Giggs...

i doubt Welbeck and Giggs will be used as wingers much this season, if at all.

Obertan looks promising, but Laurent Blanc has said that he has alot of psychological issues he needs to get over in order to fulfill his potential.

Well Sir Alex is the master at getting the best from players like that, look at King Eric's record before he joined.

Skysports say Obertan is in Manchester for his medical and they're expecting developments before the end of business today (i.e around 5-6 O'clock)

The Sun reckons we're in for Klaus Jan Huntelaar again - I did say the Sun though :)

Oh and Ben Foster has signed a four year extension to his contract, Sir Alex said that he's seen as a successor to Edwin.

Well, Obertan definitely looks interesting...he was a regular starter at the age of 17 but Laurent Blanc sent him out on loan last season as he wasn't all that great...Hopefully he picks things back up with us.

Just thought I'd share this video with you guys.



He's got dazzling speed and shows a lot of potential from this video. But anyway a compilation can make any player look great. Haven't heard anything on him yet other than the medical so far.

well thats odd...Apparently Owen Hargreaves is scheduled to report for Pre season training. Earlier then I thought, but i guess training and being fully fit are two different things.
