In my opinion you don't need an overhaul of your midfield just yet. Carrick, Fletcher, and Hargreaves when in form are excellent midfielders. They just aren't very good at organizing your team and dictating the tempo of the game.

You need someone who is gonna put the foot on the gas when the game needs it, or take the foot off the pedal when you have control of the game. I would have loved to see Sneijder in that role, he could have been like scholes was for you a while back. Anderson might grow into that, but he is certainly not there yet, Modric would be a good buy.

A good strike partner, or a dependable back up for Rooney and you're all set. Don't forget Nani and Valencia have shown they are ready to step up more next year, so with a creative CM you guys will be solid all round.

Yeah I totally agree with you.... I am quite sure that next season we'll be stronger with a few new players in place such as Hernandez and Smalling and possibly a few new faces. With youngsters stepping-up and Nani, Valencia and Anderson maturing we will be a tough side to beat. I'm still a proud supporter. We have done extremely well considering the injuries we have had....Our season would have been different if especially Rio and Vidic (and Rooney in the last few games) didn't miss the important parts of the season

this was not a bad season at all. so far the season has been decided by 1 game. the one we lost and the one chelsea drew.

ill be watching Mexico come the EC though, hope Hernandez gets some games in and some goals, would do his confidence the world of good before coming to united.

ESPN reporting that City are about to offer 75 million to Benfica for both Di Maria and Luiz- 40 for Di Maria, 35 for Luiz.

He's not ready for the first team. I think he should go on loan to another EPL team next season to get some experience.

Yeah, but that's what screwed Rossi up, we loaned him to Newcastle and he barely got a game. Then he never readjusted to United.

Campbell was the same, and now he's a bit part player for Sunderland. Unless a player is guaranteed a good run in the team and regularly gets football there is no point.

The fact is, they have to be blooded in our first team to know if they can make it or not. Macheda is a good example.

Yeah the move to Newcastle for Rossi was pointless. There were Martins and Owen there, how was he ever gonna be selected? I mean a smaller club like Wolves or Wigan where he's almost assured the first spot. Some team which doesn't have many great strikers. West ham for eg would be pointless since they have Benni Mcarthy, C. Cole and Mido.

Anyone watch the Player Of The Year awards on MUTV?, Fergie was quite relaxed and let slip he was thinking about rebuilding the team in the summer.

Ben Foster has also apparently resigned himself to life after United.

Rooney netted a hat-trick of Player's player, fans player and best goal. Richie De Laet got reserve player of the season.


So, have we all got our Spurs shirts for this evening?

Nope...honestly I am hoping City wins and gets the fourth spot.

Why, you ask? Because I think it would make the United/City rivalry even cooler. The better City are and the higher stakes they are playing for, the greater the rivalry will become.

Tell me the truth, would you not LOVE to see them make CL and see us knock them out? Also, wouldn't you love to see them really compete for the league next year and have us beat them to knock them out of contention?

Couple thoughts after watching the first half of the City/Spurs game...

1. Gareth Bale is going to be one of the best players in the world within 5 years. The amazing thing is that he can accomplish that distinction either as a defender or as a winger.

2. I do not see the fascination that some people have with Modric. He doesn't strike me as anything special.

3. Adam Johnson is the real deal as well...he will probably be an elite player in a few years.
