Actually, I agree, Bale would be a great signing for us.

Ba
Bale - Mata - Hazard

This combination means Bale stays wide and takes control of the flank, he is a willing, able defender too, so it gives us some balance. The main issue with the Mazacar has been that none of them stay wide and they don't track back well. They have improved lately, but I still think Moses balances out the side more, as would any other player who tracks back and is able to stay wide (Schurrle would be able to do that too, I think). Bale is probably the best player in the world right now who could play that role, so he'd be a great signing.

That said, we will never buy him for anything like a worthwhile value. We have depth, Moses is good and there are cheaper options who could fulfill the same role quite well while allowing us to invest in the positions we really need strengthening. Kuba, Schurrle, even Di Maria would be cheaper. I could see Bale going to Madrid and us trying to get Di Maria, don't think it's at all likely though.

angel di maria is the name that is coming after messi's name these days in argentina. He is technically gifted. It would be worth paying for him..

Yaya over Suarez or even Mata in that Top 3 is bullshit.

Btw, I had 3 player from the EPL Team of the Year in my Draft :(

Being great is meaningless if you don't play well. In terms of talent he is definitely Top 5, but in terms of performance over the season I'm not sure that he cracks the Top 20.

you must be joking. Micheal Carrick played better than him this season. Yaya was a one hit wonder. His days are gone

I repeat, Yaya failing to step up like last season, along with certain other City stars such as Silva and Kompany, is the main reason why the City title defense was so poor. Great players step up.

City as collective is shit but as individual, there is no better player than Yaya! which doesn't mean he deserves the EPL player award though.

Last year Yaya and others managed to show their individual ability despite being part of a disjointed squad, this year they have been completely anonymous. Aguero and Nastasic still managed to be good this year in a bad collective environment, surely a truly "great" player would do the same?

Or are players only "great" when they have Lionel Messi to hide their mediocre games?

Damn true! Yaya was pretty good this season. Aguero for City is like Messi for Barcelona.

Yaya is one of the most talented players on the planet, he was my first pick in the draft for a reason. That is why he can win games when he plays to his potential. But he didn't this year, he was anonymous for most of the year, playing at a level far beneath his ability. Just like Villa and Alves are excellent but have had shit years, the same applies to Yaya. At present, his performances do not even merit inclusion in the Team of the Year bench. If Messi failed to score or get any assist next season and just play way below his standard, would you give him the player of the year award because he's Messi?
