Yes, if you look at the top teams in each leagues this season, La Liga > Bundesliga > EPL/Serie A. Will likely change in a couple of seasons once the EPL teams get their shit straight. Money is certainly not lacking for City and Chelsea.

You got RVP in horrible form that doesn't seem to have an end and you have Chicharito who scores pretty much every chance he's given rotting in the bench. Nice going, old man.

Chicharo can't get out of this situation fast enough.

RvP needs some rest and Chicharito should play more but that "old man" has put the team 15 points ahead despite not playing convincingly. I think Sir Alex is doing his best with what he has. I wouldn't blame him.

Guarding a 1-0 lead against Reading looks awesome in the style points category.

Also, ManU is doing fine, but you can't deny that they are completely taking advantage of virtually every big team but them underachieving. It isn't all about Fergie's genius, because it sure as hell doesn't translate anywhere else but in the EPL.

I agree with that. I don't think I have seen such a poor EPL since I have been watching football.

However, leading by 15 points regardless of whether other teams are underachieving or not is still quite impressive.

Yeah, there's just too much money in the Premier League for it not to win out in the long run. More than anything I just think that the big Premier League clubs have had an inordinate amount of flops compared to the big clubs in Europe.

I did hear a (possibly) convincing argument that City is at fault because they have targeted top players from their rivals and weakened the top teams, while not being able for various reasons to assume the top position. If City wasn't rich and going after domestic players, just think how much better Arsenal would be.

Well, they have managed to win one FA Cup and one EPL title though. But it does make sense. They have completely destroyed the Arsenal team (Nasri, Clichy, Adebayor etc) and except from Clichy maybe, these players have done poorly for City. Imagine how strong Arsenal would have been with Nasri and Adebayor. Nasri was very good in his last season.

The thing also with City is that its pretty much all about the money (Who would join them if it's not for the money?). This kind of players, while being incredibly talented, lack passion. Without passion there is no success.

The Bundesliga is not better than the PL. And what is it with all the pessimism?
We won and City lost and all you have here is belly-aching about how badly we're playing. Unbelievable. We're 15 points clear.
Of course the match was drab yesterday, but you always have matches like that, which is fine if we get the three points.

Help?

I know, right? Complaining about the quality, this squad of 22 players is as quality as ever. And we are on the highest ever points total after 29 games and people still find reasons to say how bad Ferguson is. That with Chelsea and City who both spent immense amounts of money.

Games like these would have resulted into dropped points in the past.

- Jon Stead (29 now, currently with Bristol City)
- Matt Derbyshire (26 now, currently with Nottingham Forrest)
- Leroy Lita (27 now, currently with Swansea)

Lol I like this list. In fact, Lita was in my fantasy team at some point this season because he is the cheapest striker you can get.
