Sky reporting Zlatan will have his medical on July 1st. Looked an awful lot like Seamus Levine for Sweden at the Euros. While he'll get a lot better service at United, as he did at PSG, I'm not totally sure how he'll do against EPL defenders. Ligue 1 has been utter shit for the last two season, even more than it usually has been. Nothing to lose though, will earn back his wages with shirt sales even if he flops.

Man Utd agree £26.3m transfer fee with Borussia Dortmund for Henrikh Mkhitaryan - Sky sources.

Good price but he has only 1 year on his contract. Borussia Dortmund bought him for about £23m.

I agree, nothing to lose. He could also teach young players like Rashford a few tricks. He also seems to be a good leader.

You say nothing to lose but you've got to assume this will take minutes from rashford and if you sign another striker aswell he might not get any time at all

Miktharyan is one of the best players in the world, KP

I know Arnau, no doubt about that ... I just dont think his style will fit in EPL as good as Bundesliga ... hopefully he will do better than Kagawa

It is widely reported that Mourinho thinks Rashford will have a major role in his team. He is still young too therefore it is best if he was eased into the first team. Last year LvG had no choice.

Completely seconded - he had many many choices and few other managers in the world would have had the bravery and foresight to take the rashford option.

LvG selected Rashford because we had no striker. Rooney and Martial were injured. We had no striker for 2 or 3 games but he could have put Martial or Rooney back as striker when they came back. He played Martial left wing and Rooney midfield instead.

Arnau, can you explain LVG choices when Rooney/Martial were injured? ... he even tried Fellaini there few games ...

Oh boy, I remember how excited I was after WC in 2002 and the Euros two years later, rumours of signing Ferdinand and Rooney. Wouldn't want anyone from their current squad to be bought by United right now. Mourinho has to sort out Rooney. If he won't start performing, he has to go, unless he is ready to sit on the bench. Right now, I wouldn't bench anyone in favor of him.

As for Rashford, I wouldn't mind him not playing every week or him being a sub for Zlatan and Martial. Can't overuse him or else he'll end up like Rooney who peaked before his pubes started growing and whose form started receding simultaneously with his hair line, which of course sounds perfectly logical, but in his case, there was just 5 years between.
