Manager Mode: Flooding the EPL with talent

I'm in season 2013/2014. I regularly scout players in the mid 80s all positions. I buy all and then sell at transfer windows to make a buck, although i haven't done the math to see if the signing fee plus wages = my sell price.

Anyhow ... I only sell my recruits to EPL teams. What's happened?

as of 2013/2014 ... Here are the team ratings/stars. No other league in the game comes close to this kind of power. Past two ECC championships have been english side vs english side. Past two supercups english vs english

6- 5 star teams
12- 4.5 star teams
2- 3.5 star teams

Arsenal 5
Aston Villa 4.5
Birmingham City 4.5
Blackburn Rovers 4.5
Bolton Wanderers 4.5
Chelsea 5
Derby County 3.5
Everton 5
Fulham 4.5
Liverpool 5
Manchester City 4.5
Manchester United 5
Middlesbrough 4.5
MK Dons 4.5
Newcastle United 5
Portsmouth 4.5
Preston 3.5
Reading 4.5
Tottenham Hotspur 4.5
West Ham United 4.5

i've had a similar problem where only one club (which happens to be liverpool) offers a price that is higher than a player's market price. it's incredibly annoying, but i simply get around it by selling the players (if needs be) to less prestigious clubs, at lower prices.
however, unlike you MarkMis, i have sometimes had offers for my players from foreign clubs. try scouting from a different region, other than presumably england.

Um, I use Liverpool, and that ONE club is Arsenal. Wenger (or whoever it is) had placed bid ridiculously on players like Gerrard, Pennant, Hildebrand, and even Torres.

I actually like flooding the EPL with talent. It increases the quality of the league and gameplay. I refuse to sell to foreign teams.

You can sort some of this out by changing settings in the config.dat files

I think if you changed retirement age and made players retire earlier alot of the higher rated 80-90 players would be gone bringing overall rating of a team down. However I cannot find where retirement settings are.

Another change could be the chance that a team in the same league will buy a player. If you made it so overseas teams bought more players that would also correct this problem to a certain extent.

There aren't any. Each player has a predetermined retirement age which is part of their data record in FIFA.DB
