Manager Mode Crash

I'm having a problem when i'm playing manager mode(career mode). No matter what team or league I play with the game hangs in mid august..when I play MLS which starts in March I can play till August and then the loading bar hangs at 80% and fifa doesn't respond..when I play with other leagues like epl or la liga this happens after the first match..any ideas??

Hm, could be lot of things, check this ones:

-if you edited or transfered "young players" to any team with cm10 or mm10, the game will hang up at the end of the season

-check leagues you had imported with cm10, check calendar dates, check if any team had an specific stadium assigned on those leagues

-Did you expanded the database before importing new leagues with cm10?

-Check with cm10 if you imported a new league, if it was imported correctly, i mean, that league id and tournament id are linked, qualification rules are correct (x ex: southamerican leagues and libertadores cup, if the links for that cup are correct), no overwritted teams or teams in other leagues (x ex: imported argentinian league but Estudiantes is on a Polish league overwritting one of those teams)

Thx for the reply mate...I've checked most of the things u've said already..actually fifa hangs when the bar says populating transfer list..any specific reasons for this you know of??

The reasons are those listed above, which new league or tournaments did u imported to the game?
Or maybe did u imported some .exe patch instead a .cmp patch, that could generate problems when it's imported over an edited fifa...

naa..no exe patches mate..just cmps for bolivian, colombian and chilean leagues..

Hm, maybe you overwritted some team/players on importing, upload the fifa.db and language.db and send me a PM with the link, i'll check those files tomorrow or thursday.

"Young players" are the players scouted on manager mode, those players can't be transferred or called into a team/national team using cm10 or mm10, only can be signed ingame.

You can identify a "Young player" in the CM10 by his ID number, all the "Young players" have an ID above 400.000.

I opened with DBMaster the fifa db file and found the player table
where I can find the player id ...
but in this table I can't find the column that join player and team id....where is this information?
if I find this info I can rapidly check the"young player" problem..

hello mate..i've actually checked for young players and had some of them assigned to teams..so removed them from the teams..but I've got a new problem..I just can't enter into the manager mode or season or even tournament mode..fifa hanga after the first welcome screen after I click manager or tournament or season mode from main screen of fifa 10?? any solution for this

The thing is, now that you removed the young players for the teams, you must replace the empty places that you left on that teams, that's what are causing the game crashes.

I mean, let's supose that, some young players were present on Barcelona like this:

Valdés
Dani Alves - Puyol - Young player 1 - Maxwell
Xavi - Yaya Touré - Iniesta - Pedro
Messi - Young player 2

Subtitutes:
Young player 3
Marquez
Zlatan
Bojan
Henry

If you remove the young players, there's empty places on the team formation and into the subtitutions bench, so, you need to reasign that places to other players so the game can work.
I guess you can do it with cm10, or with dbmaster10, but you must create that tables like were present before, you can use the original fifa.db like a guide for that.

no mate..don't think tht's the problem..checked all the teams from which I removed young players..their formations and sub bench is intact..still the game crashes..anyways thanks for your time and help mate..I think the problem is with the tournaments but I don't see any discrepancy there

me too I've checked all
and also I've added over 15000 nwe young player (with correct ID and no linked to any team)
but it always crashed...
a strange thing happens...if you are fired up ....the game simulates the rest of the year...
and no crash happens at the beginnings of the send year and you can continue your career!!!
very very strange (it means in other words that all tournaments are correct in their logical construction..also the "mixed" tournament like Uefa Champions League ...)

I'm not sure that that is true. When you are fired you effectively start the second season as if it were the start of the first season. One obvious effect of this would be that the movement of teams from one league to another, or qualification for a tournament like the ECC of EFA, might well not take place in the same way.

FWIW I am currently investigating issues with a database produced by another denizen of these forums and it looks to me like CM might be making something of a mess of the between season team movement entries, either due to user error or program error - I can't be sure because I don't use Rinaldo's tools for editing my database, which is the same as the day I installed the game.

It looks to me like CM doesn't reset the move_to fields properly if you change a league from having playoffs for promotion/relegation to not having them. If you'd like me to take a look at your data to see if I can see similar (or other) issues then upload your saved game, FIFA.DB and ENG.DB (or whichever language database you use) as a single archive and email me a link (using the option in the left hand pane)
