Man Utd to try again for Juventus defender Athirson

'Manchester United are again being linked with Flamengo defender Athirson.
The Brazilian is on-loan at Flamengo from Juventus and has been watched by United scouts this year.

The 26 year-old is seen as Roberto Carlos' understudy in Brazil's national team and attracted serious interest from United late, last season.'

ive seen him play quite a few times and hes very good.....i dunno about being R. Carlos understudy b/c hes not as fast as him at all....but hes really good on the ball, better than carlos and has a really good shot, also plays better defense than Carlos....Man Utd should get him if thier interested

besides ronadinho has played with him already and I think that they'll make a very good midfield!

I wouldn't say that he sucks, but his style of play is not helping him that much in Brazil.

well he plays well in cm4..but i really didnt see him play.after all, juan roman riquelme sucks in real life but plays very well in cm4.

He's a good player IMO. Great offensively and has an awesome shot. Benfica expressed some interest in him a while back. I never knew he was owned by Juventus though.

I never saw the player, but ManU still need a defender. If I was Fergie I would buy an English defender.
