Man Utd Home Kit???

Whats with the white socks?............for European games sure, but league games, anyone know the reasons why EA thought this?........seems strange to me, i know its a minor thing but they said "real kits"........where are me black socks??, and no way to mod the kit for PS2.

I made the same point in the official forum. If they want to give Man U white socks in a 4th kit, fine, but to make white socks their default home kit? Man U has been wearing red/white/black home kits for over 50 years…why would EA mess this up?

At least my USA has white/white/white home kits…now if EA would just include international career modes.

Insane if you ask me, a club like Man Utd, and they get the kit wrong, even the shorts are wrong, with the black band around the bottom edge, real kits my arse!!..............but im enjoying the game quite a bit, apart from these very silly mistakes, unless its for some reason, but i cant see what that would be............everyone knows the Man Utd colours geez.

They don't have Nike license, they can't do the kit 100% right. Who gives a flying **** about the socks anyway? I would understand your anger if they would use orange socks that we never used, it's not like playing with white socks is something rare for United, they do it quite often.

So Woop Dee doo, what youre saying is that the black socks are Nike and the white ones arent, the reason being for wearing the white ones, due to licensing issues??, LMFAO, since when is the colour black licensed to Nike, I thought that since Man Utd wear black socks as part of their home kit 95% of the time that would have been the intelligent choice, but as you said, a powerhouse company such as Nike having rights over the colour black is good a reason as any to not use the "real" kit fair enough

About white socks, for ****s sake, get a life. If you want to see everything right watch a real game. United have been playing with white socks a alot, I can't see whats your problem, just edit them or whatever...

they can't d proper kits because they are EA, not because of licenses.if they recreate the bloody manu kit with all ******* detail but leave out the nike swoosh there is nothing they can do about for ****.just look at the away kit or any other nike team ingame.the only nike kit ****ed up BIG, BIG time is the home kit of one of the biggest and most popular teams over the planet.

i just don't get the freakin point.

theres no reason why Barcelona's kit is correct yet Man Utds has a black line on it. there was some screenshots where the black line wasnt on it yet it seems to be on it in the game.

Thats because early 06 screenshots still had 2005 textures for the kits. It's a shame EA couldn't have left the teams that didn't change alone and retained the old textures (which are much clearer and better) for those teams. Then they could only worry about updating teams whose kits had changed. Compare AC Milan's white kit in 2005 with FIFA06 and you'll agree it's much better in 05. (all they had to do was write Zafira for Christsake).

Think youre still missing the point Woop, i dont give a toss if the nike swoosh is on the friggen strip, if its a license issue, all i want is black socks, put a leggo badge on them if ya like, having just plain black socks with a red stripe up top isnt nike it isnt addidas it isnt friggen anything but a pair of "black socks" making them white has nothing to do with any licensing for christ sakes, i mean why not give them black shorts, they wear those too from time to time so whats the damn difference, its the colours im talking about here not the brand, leave the brand off and just give me the correct strip colours, is that simple enough?

As for this Man Utd dispute, I play Man Utd with black shorts and white socks but that's just because I like the look of it, if you wanted realism you should have bought the PC version which can be modified to make it as close to reality as possible by adding the kits and modifications made by the talented editors on these and other websites... But I agree that for a famous team like Man Utd at least the base kit made by EA should be correct...

The thing I find funny is that they fixed the sleeve flash from last year, added the white bit behind the collar, and then screwed up the front that was fine to begin with!
