I thought so but was hoping that there is an off chance he may play. UEFA have some weird rules sometimes. He'll enjoy some good time off then, getting ready for the next game to help us to fight for the EUROPA spot.

Despite poor results, he's done well so far. 3 assists in 4 games. Just a Mata of time before he starts making a difference. I may have him in my fantasy team as well soon. I guess he must be cheap at the moment because he hasn't played much for Chelsea.

Yes but he hardly played for 6 months and didn't play that well. He is the third most priced midfielder at the moment

Hazard 10.9
Yaya Toure 10.2
Mata 9.8

By the end of last season he was probably 10+. Above Hazard for sure.

EDIT: At the beginning of the season he was 10.5. He dropped 0.7 points which is quite a lot in fantasy EPL terms. Still, I was expecting 9.0 or something like that. 9.8 is not bad for him.

He was pretty cheap after a full half season of inactivity. In the ESPN game he's the 7th most expensive midfielder, but I got him right after the transfer was announced when he was even cheaper; the salary I have him at would make him tied for the 11th most expensive with Oscar and Nasri.

He signed. For 5.5 years. Mixed feelings about that. I'm glad it has been sorted out and he is at his peak, not showing any signs of decline yet but that's a lot of money. 85 million pounds for a player who will be 33 at the end of the contract. Not significantly more than his current salary though. With his current salary he would have been paid 70 millions for the 5.5 years.

Y'all must be trying hard to contain your excitement from the news that Fellaini is available for selection.

Of course. He's our 27 million pounds signing.

27m pounds. :( Well he was really good at Everton, and has been plagued by injuries so far this season. So he hasn't really had a proper chance to prove himself yet. But i'm sure he will at some point, it would be sad if he flops. Definitely overpaid for the guy though and it can be considered as a "panic buy".

What bothers me is that we were linked to Strootman as well in the summer, not sure how true those rumours were. But seeing how well he has done at Roma, he would have been great for us i think. Cost them only 17m euros as well, i'm only using the word "only" because of the Fellaini fee.

I think we should try this formation

I think this suits our players well, particularly the attacking trio. This formation worked well last season in the UCL with Kagawa or Rooney occupying the AMF position. Our wingers have been disgraceful this season so another reason to employ this formation.

Given how rigid our manager is though, I can only dream of him trying something different.

They were throwing insults at Rooney when he was taking corners and they threw coins at him. Fucking hooligans. They haven't changed since the 1995 incident.

It was a relatively positive performance I think. We build up from the Arsenal performance. Crystal palace is in very good form. They have won 5 games in 2014 which is much more than us. Arsenal struggled against them and won with the same scoreline.

Fantastic goal by Rooney. We haven't seen this kind of strike from him for a very long time. It takes only money to motivate him, sadly. Good overall performance from him overall.

Fellaini showed that he can offer something different in midfield. He was far from last seasons form but he hasn't played in a long time. He offers something forward for example that chance he missed in the first half. If he was playing more regularly this season I think he would have scored. He also wins headers and can score with headers which is something our other midfielders don't possess.

Crystal Palace fans are awful man, when I was living in Brighton they actually had police posted INSIDE the pubs when Palace came to town.
