Man u is interested in signing vieira...

well.. just saw this from bbc... it's hot hot hot...:crazyboy:

Man Utd warned off Vieira

Arsenal have warned Manchester United that Patrick Vieira is not for sale after Sir Alex Ferguson was linked with a £22m bid for the Highbury captain.

It was reported that Ferguson had ordered the Manchester United hierarchy to investigate the possibility of bringing Vieira to Old Trafford.

Vieira has only one year left on his Arsenal contract and negotiations are ongoing over a new contract to keep him at Highbury.

But Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein told BBC Sport that Vieira was not for sale at any price.

Ferguson is a massive admirer of Vieira and an attempt to take Arsenal's captain away from his arch-rival Arsene Wenger would represent the biggest transfer coup of his career.

Veron hints at Man Utd exit

United attempted to sign Vieira two years ago, but the deal never got off the ground.

And Arsenal vice-chairman Dein was defiant as he told this website: "Patrick Vieira is not for sale.

"We have not had any inquiry from Manchester United for Patrick and even in the event of one he is not for sale."

Arsenal have fought off interest from Real Madrid in the past, and Wenger is determined to keep him at Highbury after his France colleague Thierry Henry signed a new three-year contract at the club.

And 27-year-old Vieira stated on a recent visit to Senegal that he could never see himself playing for Manchester United.

On Tuesday, Vieira announced he would be fit for the start of the new season after missing the title run-in with a knee injury.

i don't think viera would suit man utd.
even though he may be world class, the fans may feel it awkward to have viera in the team.and after all the word battle,it seems impossible for viera to come to united even though fergie would splash $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ on him

Shut up...

Viera is so ****ing class United fans would welcome him with open arms. So when we bought Cantona and Rio from Leeds did you not like them? or haven't you been supporting United that long

Anyway, Arsenal would be mad to turn down 22mil from any team on a player they are likely to lose for nothing next year.

this is nothing more than a cheap tactic by Sir Alex to raise the value of Vieria's new contract and thereby reduce the funds Arsenal would have to pay wages to players they hope to sign.

Wouldn't suprise me if Ferguson genuinely wanted wanted Viera. Afterall he is one of a handful of players that's good enough to replace Keane.

I believe players like henry and viera have a different mentality than most players, mostly becus of their experiences in italy and then coming to arsenal and then becoming mega stars.

Firstly they wont rest until arsenal have won the european cup and would find a lot of satisfaction in doin this rather than going into real madrid or a team like this. Arsenal is a home for them

Secondly they want to become legends at arsenal, they want to be part of the days when arsenal are in their new stadium, and will be the basis of many years of success for arsenal.

I believe viera will play until the stadium is built and then one more season, by which time, all of the fans will understand his decision and he will be an absolute legend, he could possibly then move to real or stay at arsenal and maybe become a coach at arsenal one day

I heard another thing about how the man u players often get upset at the press coverage arsenal get, especially silvestre in france LOL:rockman:

Merda Utd would probably love to have Viera in there arms, but first off Arsenal would be completely retarded to sell there captain to there archenemy making them even stronger, anywayz any coach with sense would bench Keane if Viera came, since Viera is a much better soccer player, though Keane is the captain and the team main support so... IMO Viera shouldn't go

Help?
