Making the save file smaller

I searched but I could not find an aswer so I started a new thread. Is there any way to make your save file smaller after it gets very big and loads slow? I dont care about the older games as long as it loads fast. Any way to do this?

You can't make it smaller, but you can make it faster in some ways:

-close your antivirus
-delete all facepacks etc.
-don't install backgrounds/sounds
-delete other games can help too
-if you don't have the 3rd one, than don't do background changes

you can also go into task manager and set the games priority to high. That should make it run faster.

you can make it smaller by deleting plr (I think) files from your saved games

yeah well as soon as i get to 2011 the save file becomes corrupt. Is there a reason for this?
