I agree with MM, there definitely is a scripted feel to online mode.
I've played quite a lot of games, won and lost many.
There were some games when I would beat the same guy
by 5:0 away from home when he could barely get a single
pass correct. I would win each and every ball.
Then in the return match, it was almost the opposite.
But of course, there are some games when it's not so scripted,
when both teams have the same feel.
I think Konami have been lazy with the online aspect.
All they've done is taken the single-player match (p1 vs CPU)
and made it into p1 vs p2-with-CPU.
One player gets all the breaks, which is totally random.
Not depending on the lag or who's host or client.

I could not agree more on this topic. Just played two games against the same player. The first one I lost 0-1. On the image below is the match stats. I'm Juventus (leo) btw. He got ONE chance where he simply lobbed the ball over Buffon. I hit posts and goalkeepers all the time.
Did not know how to add two pictures in one post, so I make another post.
Then I played the rematch. This time he hosted. I lost this one 2-1, with shots in the posts, amazing super saves, super misses etc.
Definitely seems as if PES4 is scripted.
I probably won't play PES4 online for another year now, when WE9/PES5 is released.

If I could play with Juve in the World Cup, I could give everyone a good match, but I've played a few games with Germany, and I haven't managed to do much with them (yet)Originally posted by manolis

i have another complaint, I do not want to open a new thread about this, so i post it in here.
Wtf is up with the pulling from behind?? You never get carded for this, how many times a one on one situation is ruined by a pull from behind. Sometimes you get a free kick, but the opponent never gets a card. When you pull a striker when hes one on one with the keeper its a red card period.
