zidane40..please dont generalise it.the fans in the match might be doing racist noises etc. but dont generalize it.But you just gotta accept that your hooligan fans are so much worse than racist macedonians.they just make noises, your hooligans hurt people, cause damage in the match city.Turkish fans sometimes get crazy but they do it when they see violent fans like your hooligans.as we're mediterranean, Turks get angry in this kinda situations.But we're friendly to people who're friendly to us.And about the booing while us anthem: Turkish anthem was cut off in the half of it so the Turkish fans got mad about it.there was nothing against the us.

first off all i am a Macedonian and i have to say that in Macedonia, ther are a lot off black players, so we are not racist.
And those monkey noises came from fans that are called MONKEYS, they are form Prilep and they are fans of football club POBEDA.
they do that all the time.

There is racism in every country, including mine, your statement is indeed ignorant.

My country has black people in it, but there are still racist bastards out there lurking about who need putting away and locking up, it doesnt matter if there are black people in your country.

The same goes for America, there are black people there, but there are still racists going around, every country has these problems.

Racism happens to other ethnicities aswell (maybe even more so than to blacks)...not just blacks...

you feel a tension of an atmosphere of racism....you either deal with it by shrugging it off (as ive done plenty of times) or you get out of the situation.....never dwell on it.....it doesn't solve anything

ive got two cool Macedonian friends (one a muslim, the other a christian).......ive never felt bad vibes from either of their family and extended family....hehe...there is my contribution to cutting down this generalizations and ****e

They say it in English. It's easy enough to pick up racist words from Hollywood films. I heard the word "nigger" coming from the crowd on TV.

ppl who come from the town of prilep are commonly known as monkeys, its just something the rest of us macedonians have given them as a nickname. and the thing is these guys dont even mind it. it adds to the excitement of the game.

oh and another thing i have to say is did u guys bribe the ref?? oh but then again the english league at its present state is shocking, u almost get carded for everything that is just a lil bump. in macedonia the leagues are much more, ummm stronger and believe that its ok to bumb a lil.

Burning another country's national flag in such an ocassion as that was just ridiculous. The actual players spat at the English players and made threats such as "you won't make it out of here alive". All things combined, why should nations have to play games in these countries if this is what happens?? If they can't host and play a fair game, then why should they be able to play in such competitions??

And on the racial issue which you just discussed, we aren't talking about clearing all racism, which in theory shouldn't be that hard, what we are discussing is the use of racial abuse in football matches such as was targeted by UEFA/FIFA.

I think hooliganism in england now is blown way out of proportion, there is nothign like the violence you see at continental games and incidents where they try and hurt the players are almost unheard of these days.

yet look at internation matches, or european games and there is loads when england/ english club plays. coins, bottles and (on one occasion last year) knives.

the flag burning was uncalled for too, i think we as england fans take a lot of crap about violence etc., and other fans say 'it's ok, they're worse' when we're not! internationals over the past 5 yrs, especially home matches where we are the majority, there has been hardly any signs of racial abuse or violence, and at away matches it's normally in self defense (although, this view is ignored, the media say england footy fans? hooligans!).

banning england fans last night was pointless and yet more victimisation, FIFA are basically saying it's ok to burn a country's flag, a national symbol that means so much to that country, but it's not ok to run on the pitch? FYROM won't be punished, or if they are it'll only be a fine... England screwed over again.

Yet with all this going on we still won, well done lads.

There seem to be a lot of generalisations here - people saying 'Brits are racist', 'Macedonians are racist' etc.

This is bollocks - what we are talking about is the disgraceful behaviour of SOME of the Macedonian players and fans.

If any of the England team made death threats to other players, or if our crowd was shown burning an opposition country's flag - I would be utterly ashamed of them.

I'm sure Macedonian people as a whole are just as non-racist as most of the population of England. The point is that some of the behaviour yesterday was unnacceptable and should be dealt with accordingly.
