You English were in such a euphoria since the qualification that you didn't wanna see that England has only a few world class players ( Beckham, Owen, Scholes in this match).
They already played bad against Greece and most of the friendly games (like against Korea) but in your chavinism you English guys closed your eyes for it.
The defense sucks and you have no left midfielder.
I think England will loose aganist Argentina and then they can only hope Argentina will do their best against Sweden, but why should they, if they are already qualified?

Ashley Cole is a left side back but he can also support the team with his long runs on the left wing and also Heskey is quite good in the left midfield however he's definitly a better forward.
anyway, Vassell played well and Hargreaves too.

It's the usual story surrounding the build-up to England's World Cup where they hype themselves up into believeing that they will probably win it.
They had one good result against a very poor German side in the qualifiers and suddenly the English media are hyping Eriksson's England into world-beaters. They were very poor and lucky against Greece and not much good against Finland either. The also got soundly beaten and out-classed at home by both Holland and Italy, 2 genuine world-class sides.
Really, how many genuinely great performances have they under Eriksson?
Their performance today was extremely mediocre. Sure, they can play better than that, but not so much better that they'll progress far in this tournament with a huge amount of luck.

To name some of our good players, Beckham, Owen, Vassell, Cole, Cole, Hargreaves, Scholes, Gerrard, Dyer. These are all class acts so shut ur gob!
We played well in the first half and deserved to win. Yet, in teh second half got complacent and lost it. Anyway, who says we're gonna win it?? And if you're not thinking you can win it, you shouldn't even bother turning up!
Beckham just came back from 8 ****in weeks on teh sideline, of course he ain't gonna be on top form!
Go suck on ur sour grapes!

I can't understand why our two stubborn (and stupid) head coaches keep Anders Svensson on the bench all the time. When he came on the pitch the match turned around. If he had played the full match we might have won it which we really should have done...

Why coudlnt Svensson, Larsson, Linderoth scored!?

You even can't read, I talked about world class players and not good players and Cole, Cole, Vassel and Dyer are definitly not, but Gerrard will become one, still isn't.

There have only been bout 6-7 posts, so I'm not that alone in my opinions.
You watch Vassell play, and tell me he hasn't got amazing skills and lightning pace!

You've got to love these people who think that in some way they get one over on us when our football team doesn't perform. Today we completely outplayed Sweden first half, but Erikkson's inability to get us playing football rather than long balls cost us. As usual, Seaman made a complete mess of the shot and let it in.

World class players. Gerrard is quite clearly world class. Ferdinand as well. Add those 3 and it makes 5. I can't see very many teams in the competition with 5 world class players and players of the class of Hargreaves.

Well im English and an England supporter 100% but im also a realist. I really cant see us winning this world cup but obvisously hope we do and i'll scream and shout my support at the tv throughout every England game as im sure any supporter of any national team would be, be it Brazil or the Saudis!
About the England vs Sweden game I feel that England played well in the first have despite not creating alot of clear cut chances they did play well together as a team, although this all changed 2nd half when Sweden really pushed us and they fully deserved there point. Sure Danny Mills made an error for the goal but Sweden had a couple of other good chances that they could of clearly scored from and on another day they could of nicked the 3 points BUT i do feel that a draw was a fair result.
On England and there players apart from Beckham and his bad foot, i feel we miss Gerrard even though Hargreaves is doing very well i dont feel he has had a chance the build a relationship in the middle of the park with Scholes yet and this was evident within the game as there lack of communication and understanding of each other aloud the Swedes in behind them several times. Also Heskey needs to play like a big man and use his height and strength instead of trying to be all skillful or hold the ball up looking to bring people in all the time. GO THROUGH THEM MAN!!! oh and he needs to stay on his feet too the big poof Also him on the left really doesn't help him and the opinion i have of him (not his fault he is on the left i know and thats he is just trying to do a job for the team i know as well)

Sure, our goal was as lucky as yours. If it hadn't been for Mjällby not picking up his man and Hedman (has been) going out trying to pick a ball so badly he was cut off by Campbell, you wouldn't had scored either.
After seeing the first half I never thought we would be able to even get a draw. The team played awful.
But after seeing how we played in the second half when we got Anders Svensson on the pitch I feel we lost 2 points because of that our stupid coaches are to coward to let him play in the starting eleven. If we had had Anders Svensson on the pitch from the start we would have won. He is the most creative and the player with most flair in Sweden today.
