Long shots are killing this game

Why is it so easy to score goals from 30 meters? It really ruins the game. I have several times scored from 40 meters with ease,and I reset computer immediately after that.
Real football is in passing,and getting close to goal,and not this.
Also,why is CPU hitting so many posts? Ridiculous.

u cant ask us those kind of questions. ea sports r the failures. u could download a patch to make it more realistic, it might stop you long shot burden. (h)

I think it's cool to score like that. It is kinda realistic. Players do score from that far away now. If you get too close in real life 96% of the time they will not make it. But from far away they have a better chance (Unless it is a stopped ball chance)

its also stupid you could not even make a prosecute from the backline the keeper always collect it!!!

try it on world class... against decent teams, then lemme see what you say...

pisses me off, when people, who aren't too good at teh game...so have to play semi-pro or pro and yet come back whining that long shots go in too easily...

if you want a realistic game of football... turn it up to World class.... swallow your losses and keep learnign till u can beat the computer on WC... w/o long shots

Actually, more often than not, players will mis-hit the shot and it will go ballooning over the crossbar. Yes, given the perfect conditions i.e. training ground with no pressure from other players, the best players will have good accuracy. However, most goals are scored inside the area or from just outside the area.

i found that inside shots are pretty effective aswell. what u need to do is slowly pass around and slowly dragging the ball into the box, then when u find a gap use a burst of speed with a sudden change of direction and charge into the box through the defenc eline. also with the shooting, i found that u need to aim ur analog stick almost PERFECTLY for inside shots to be effective.

i agrre with u everyone doenst know what there talking about complaining that i can score from 20 or 30 yards out put it on world class they wont <the defense> wont even give you the time too shoot which is realistic stop plaing on semi prro i am having ffun playing a real game where paases ans quick passes are key

I mean, I could score like everyone else on semi-pro from that range, but i only did i a few times and then went "Yeah, cool... now lets see how to score from crosses...

...now lets see how to the off-the-ball control thing properly...

now lets develop some one touch and through ball passing and get it going really fast...

now lets see how to time tackles properly and the best way to jockey etc...

etc etc etc...

I thought that was the purpose of the semi-pro level...

All i use it for was to practise skills... i didn't care whether i won or not... just if i got 'something new' out of each game that was enough for me...

Now i'm going up to the higher levels and putting (and readapting) that to the higher AI skills...

Now I score some goals from outside the 18 yard box, but its usually after a striker has kicked it into the defender and the ball bounces off into the path of my midfielder coming through and he hits it first time...

Easy goals in semi-pro mode are only there to encourage you to sometimes have a shot from a fair way out... and then you're ment to move onto other things and higher levels...

Its strange how nobody ever comlains about how it was too easy to score headers every single time on semi-pro....

People please, stop ur complainin, like many of u have said, raise the level of difficulty and you'll see a difference, its harder, yeah some will go in but its not "TOO EASY"! Any tell me, how many times can u get in the box and have a decent look at goal? The defence will most definitely shut u down 90% of the time! So its good that we have a place we can score from.
....and if u dont like the long shots, then dont shoot from long and come up with an alternative, there is no reason to complain, suck it up.

hmm I don't think it's much of a problem in online play.. most half-decent players manage to close the spaces right outside the penalty area.. and just like IRL, if you find yourself in space there you're more likely to score than not *cough*Sneijder*cough*.

In FIFA 2003 it was very frustrating though..

long shots not a problem on Pro

I went up from Semi-Pro to Pro recently and find that I have to get my goals somewhere else. The long-shots would go in about 70-75% of the time in Semi-Pro.

In Pro, I've had 1 out of 10 go in now, and that one was WIIIIDE open and still only 25-30 meters out.

Unfortunately, the board of the club keep raising my objectives, so I stick with Semi-Pro when playing my career, but Pro is definitely more challenging...

I find that square crosses near the top of the area work well, as do corner kicks.

Also, if you're taking it down for a cross and have a lane, dribble in towards middle yourself instead and watch the defender and the goalie start coming at you....lay it off to a man on the spot for an easy goal. It works well to lob to a guy at the corner of the area and let him take 2 or 3 steps diagonally towards the goal and then do this lay-off.

So many people are complaining about all of the "easy long shots", I just want to know what difficulty you're playing on. I play on professional, and I don't score very much from 20+ yards away. I think you guys are playing on Girl Class or some difficulty that came with some funky patch you downloaded.

well PES wouldn't allow that many long shots going in even on the lowest defficulty level..

The game freezes if you take too many, then a warning message comes up:

WARNING: PES3 has decided that you have taken too many long shots, you will now be allowed only to take shots within the 18 yard box...thank you.

man i played World class with chelsea against Real MAdrid yesterday and won 5-0 ... all my goals came from long shots .... i agree that there to easy

i didn't say take.. i said going in. and the goalkeeper comes into the picture, not a warning message.
