Long range goals are not impossible

I finally scored a long range goal!

I was playing as Cardiff City in my second season. This particular match was against Norwich. Campbell was making a run down the right hand side and when he was about half way between the half-line and the penalty area (2/3 the way up the pitch) I decided to have a shot. The ball rocketed through the air and hit the crossbar dead in the middle. Then riccocheted down and back up again hitting the crossbar again from underneath and finally bounced in the net. The goalkeeper tried his best but was unable to tap it over.

The best thing about this is that I have been trying to repeat this on numerous occaisions but I cannot reproduce it. All the elements and luck came together at the right moment. At least I am not doing this EVERY time (like some other FIFA game that I shall not mention).

ive scored it like that b4 with nuno gomes for benfica and ive tried it l.ike 4 or 5 more times but i alwayz either iht the bar or i launch it over tha net

When i shoot from the midle circle, i allways hit the bar..

nearest I got was just past halfway between the centre circle and the 18yd box and I scored in the top left corner with Barry Ferguson (originally of Blackburn). Every other time I've tried I've hit the bar or post or the goalie tips it over.

Sounds like a mint goal you scored though... ricochet off the bar onto the ground, to the bar and in

I made a long range effort the other day.
In my first season, with Luis Filipe from Maritimo. It was 1-1 and i was having some difficulties...e gave him the ball, he was in the left side. He went up, looked to the keeper and shot a screamer, the ball touched the bar once and went through.

However, my long range efforts normally go to a great GK save.

when you fire a long range shot, if it's in the net the goalie almost never saves it... he just puts his hands up and the ball goes right through...

ok, back to topic. i did score long range. about 25-30 yards. off the post enter. but you may only score around 5 long range in a season

I'm getting great goals from about 20-25 yards out, no problem. 30 yards or more out and they tend to be a little wayward, nothing better than landing a 25 yard screamer in stoppage time to win it! Did it twice in a row!!! VIDUKA!

i played against some guy online the other night and he scored on me from almost the halfway line,with arsenal.he told me he has scored a good few from long range.

I've scored 13 Long range goals and they are Fantastic awersom Goals. And i play On SEMI PRO.
