Local derby ends in farcical 62-0 scoreline

BELGRADE: A local derby in the community of Bistrica near Pozarevac in Serbia and Montenegro ended in a 62-0 victory for one club after their opponents were instructed not to provide any opposition, Serbian media reported yesterday.

The two unnamed clubs were involved in a close derby, when the president of one of the teams decided to instruct his players in the 13th minute to stay on the field but not try to prevent the other side from scoring to protest against earlier refereeing decisions.

The half-time score was 22-0, but the side added a further 40 goals in the second half, with even the goalkeeper scoring five times.

The local football association have suspended all the players involved and said that the action was “unsporting”. They are to take a final decision on Tuesday. – dpa

How was the ref be treated afterwards? did the ref get banned?

perhaps this time, a player is booked for being ugly again and in the next minute, the ref saw him again and he was still being ugly...so second yellow card for him.

and who's Denis? :p could you tell us the whole story :rolleyes:

He walked around after a foul (which he wasen't near) before the referee revealed a yellow card, it was later found out that the card was for ugliness.

Happened like 3 years ago in asia, where the team to protest the referee scored 132 own goals to lose 133-0. The fans later asked to refund their tickets.
