the only major trophy that they won in last 20 year was 1 cl we won 10 epl and 2 cl and he is going to prove Benitez is superior to fergi. That's not even funny!!!!
never said that mate, and Rafa has only been here for 4 years, so don't blame the others on him... other than that, just look at 1966+2006's post...
If I compare Rafa to Fergie is because I respect Fergie enough to take him as a benchmark of a successful manager. That doesn't mean Fergie's never made a mistake in the transfer market.
The only thing I'm discussing here is that Rafa is not a bad manager because Liverpool sold Keane back to Spurs, or because he made some mistakes in the transfer market. We all wish his signings were like Torres, but it doesn't work that way. Sure, looking back now, I wish we could have kept Crouch instead of buying Keane, but Keane could have been just the player to take us to the next level. It's a gamble he had to take. It ended up badly, but no one thought it would be Liverpool who presented the biggest challenge to Man U's title bid, yet here we are.
But I see you didn't answer my question... how old are you?

Well, if I may take part in this discussion, I do believe that Fergie is a better manager than Benitez for obvious reasons, though Benitez has also had less time and what he has achieved so far for Valencia and Liverpool has been somewhat impressive.
I find cmc and kp's reasonings very primitive and narrow-minded, if I may say so. Maybe you should both put more thought into your posts since then people will take you more seriously.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand, I wanted to know what you guys all say to the fact that Gillett has apparently said that Benitez has to win the Premiership or he will get the sack.
Personally, I don't think I can see anyone doing better than Rafa at Liverpool. Sure, we have our issues with his team selections, but I still think he's taking us forward. Besides, who'd be available?
