We need to "iorn" out a few formalities first. Its another one that I'm not sure whether its a good signing or not. I touted him allot when he was a young player at Barcelona but hes not really done much since.

if you believe what the papers say then steven gerrard is very much on his way out of anfield. still, i dont believe what the papers say. i remember reading in the dailly express last summer that his 35 million move to chelsea was complete. gotta admit if he were to go to real madrid and we pocketed 35 million + i wouldnt lose to much sleep over it because i dont think we'de be selling our best central midfielder.

I really dont get what's going on with this whole Gerrard fiasco.....1st he wants out & Chelsea are just waiting to grab him, then he says he wants to stay....& now the papers are saying that Benitez wants him out coz he could use the $$ for rebuilding. Twisted stuff.....:| Hope things get resolved soon

It's done. Rafa confirmed it @ Liverpool Official website. Here. They also signed Mark Gonzalez (incredibly fast left winger, he played in Albacete and he's chilean (6) ) and Antonio Barragan (a young RB from Sevilla, he's 18).

Barragan = very young player, i dont see it play it until he grow up !

The idea of losing Gerrard sounds bad to me (sounds bad for probably anyone though). People associate Liverpool with Gerrard, he's our main symbol, and losing him, well, it would feel that something is missing. We can use the money (if we do sell him) to bring some classy players, but still...

About the signings, i'm pleased, despite for the fact that we are signing too much people from La Liga and it make take a while for them to adapt. I mean, we need a EPL title, and this season looks like the best time to do it, right after an European title. We need a blockbuster name at the creation part of the game, a flair player, a attacking midfielder with skill and consistency.

We wont have to splash out 35 million for Aimar. We can get him for 15 million. He's kinda undervalued after Valencia's poor season, plus he always gets injured. I would love him at my team though, he's a great player.
