Good game today. Nice to see Fowler get a game, and get 2 goals. great aswell to see Dudek in goal again, he did good.Impressed with Mascherano's debut as well. Lot of good points, some bad. Hope Crouchy isn't going to be sidelined for long because of that injury, we've got an important game next week

I think Crouchy would be important for the 2nd leg against Barca as he can hold up the ball... him and Kuyt would be my striking lineup, if we used 2 strikers. We can't set out to defend from the first minute, as Barca do have the skills to break down our defensive lineup

We have been the best in 1st half. Its good to see Liverpool today.
What a shot from my man, Riise. To bad that shot didn't hit the target.

We deserve a goal now. I hope Bellamy keeping on, and shoot more.

It was about time we got a freekick, Liverpool were getting calls for every single thing, United had to be tackeled, kicked and injuried and then get the call.

Plainly I think the referee was too easily intimidated at the Kop end. Saha was hacked in the box by Agger and Carragher could/should have gone for his studs up lunge at Wayne. Although he did disallow Liverpool a goal (at the United end of the ground) so I think he's just a weak official - certainly too "wet behind the ears" to be in charge of the East Lancs Road derby IMO. Scholes was fairly dismissed though, I couldn't work out if he tried to punch, kick or both!

As a game it was pretty ordinary, dissapointing for a huge fixture.
Both teams are capable of ramping up the tempo when they want to.

Until next season then ....

The dissallowed goal was called for Riise redirecting the volley. When Gerrard hit it, Bellamy was still on side, but when Riise stuck out his head to direct it to Bellamy, by that time Craig was offside.


As for Scholes, i still think that he was just frustrated at being pulled back and the ref not calling anything, so he turned around and punched at air in frustration for not getting the call, unfortunately Gerrard was right there infront of him. Oh well, Vieira got sent off for a somewhat similar thing on Ruud a few years back.

And about the low scoreline, United Liverpool games are never blowouts. Its always won by 1 goal, even rarely by 2. The only time i remember United Pool game being a big win was 4-0, 4 years ago, but even that was because of the two early penalties.

When did Sissoko become such a good player? I never though of him like this at Valencia, damn what a player. Anyway you guys are playing a good match vs Barca and are doing very well so far.
