First, I think that your crashing issue may be related to the fact that you first edited with CC07 then with CM07. I can't be sure of this though.
Second, in CM07 when you load a specific patch there is an option to select or deselect all objects. you can use that or simply deselect each individual object by clicking the green box next to it.
Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Saint-Martin, Sint Maarten and Martinique are unique because they are fully recognized members of CONCACAF though not by FIFA due to their status as nations. I might suggest leaving them since they are eligible to compete in the Caribbean Cup and Gold Cup. Guadeloupe and Martinique have both made some considerably stagging runs for such small nations in the Gold Cup. Of course it is up to you what you load. I admire the non-affiliated teams and enjoy pretending a bit. Of the nations mentioned I only made 3... Jsathe did make a French Guiana team though.
Third, The maximum is 24 or 25 I believe, any more than that and they will crash. but If you import and make players within a certain nationality they can be easily transfered on and off of a team.
There are issues with nationalities and national teams within cm07 so what I started doing on my laptop (i only use it for editing) is creating teams like the "South African Reserves" or the "American Reserves". I didn't give them any artwork but I just throw on likely call ups on to their roster so that I can find them quickly in case CM07 messes up their nationality. You can actually add 32-36 players to a team but it will crash if you actually try to use it. This idea is strictly for organization.
Fourth, In terms of faces I think the generic faces provided by EA and found in CM07 work just fine in all cases with the exception of the Indian National Team and some of the Melanesian/Polynesian Teams.
Some of the skin tones are admittedly incorrect because I had no good way to research them at the time (and even less time), so correcting these would be helpful but most of the nations are fine imo.
Fifth, in terms of helping out with the rosters. I could certainly use all the information available and would like to direct you to the small ezboard site I set up to track the national team rosters.
http://p067.ezboard.com/bnatteamrosters . any information provided will be helpful to our attempt to update rosters. What we could really use is someone who is willing to help out with what has up to this point been "My" primary role which is physically creating the players and physically modifying the attributes.
A bit problem we run into is when updates are done or new players are added/created, players use the EA ratings system as closely as they can and often don't accurately take into account the difference in strength between many of these nations. I created a ratings system that is far more effective and complex that, if followed, has shown incredible results as far as I've seen.
What I could really use is someone who is willing to help me physically make the changes and modify the rosters within the confines of the ratings system used for the patches. It is not the most entertaining work on fifa games but I think it improves the realism of the game and in the end helps our users enjoy it in a more relaxed state of mind when they don't have to worry about Italy beating Brazil by 8 goals or Spain Drawing San Marino.
Finally, In terms of my involvement, I will attempt to continue working on this porject but am working more and am now putting together a local adult soccer team that is taking up quite a bit of time. I have less of it available and the amount of work done in such a short period of time really burned me out and I think had I taken the time to rationalize what would indeed happen to otherwise accurate rosters in a span of just a few months I think I would have had a better time coping with the fact that I finished these national teams in June and they are already out of date... In some cases incredibly out of date.
To do roster updates for all 208 teams I realize now to be completely unrealistic. Especially if I'm asked to do it alone. With help I think we can complete a satisfying number of them but I've seen no evidence that anyone is interested in complying to the system I'm using for ratings or, in many cases, doing this kind of work at all.
I know that sounds a bit bleak but I am proud of the national teams we created in this thread and wish that they could all remain incredibly up to date, but I cannot put in the same amount of effort I did before. I simply don't have the time.
Here's what I'de like to do if I could get some help.
I would like to look through the rosters and find the ones that are just aweful. Or the ones that are for any reason underachiving (The Romanian team I released is remarkably weak, for example) Create a list of about 5 per confederation (2-3 for CONMEBOL and OFC) and try to get them done at a reasonable pace.
I think I would need help even with this though.
I appreciate your enthusiasm Waris and especially the kind words. I hope that what I've said is in some way encouraging rather than the expected response, moderate disappointment. But I think with your help we can really do something special with these teams and I'm hoping that roster updates and attribute modification is close enough to your typical interests that you can be persuaded to assist in the project.
Thank you for taking the time to post Waris and I am extremely appreciative that you have downloaded and are playing with these teams.
