well... they have already sold out most of their best players, and now paul robinson and harry kewell could go next to aston villa, and harry kewell could join either arsenal, man u or barca... they are really in terrible debts... better sell out all their player and get relegated next season...
Yep :(
The way you wrote that sounded like Kewell may go to Villa, which will NEVER happen, but Robinson is on his way there by the sounds of things (dunno why Arsenal didnt bid)...

Theyve lost 2 of the EPLs best CBs: Ferdinand (who had a bad year anyway), and Woodgate (who was this years OPTA stats CB of the year)....

They also lost Keane, Fowler, Bowyer and Dacourt...

As for Robinson going to Villa becaues of David O'Leary...you have to remember that O'Leary never put Robinson in the first team ahead of Martyn...It was Venables who did this....

I can see the point in selling Robinson. They have great backups for Goallie...Martyn, Milosevic are two guys who wouldnt be out of place in goal in the EPL, but selling for 3million is ridiculous...

As for Viduka being one of the better Leeds players..When he hits form he is...But he is usely inconsistant and if things arent going his way he can be lazy. Also Viduka isnt worth as much in the transfer market, because he is older...Ferdinand, Woodgate, Kewell, Robinson, Keane etc are all really young players. Bowyer isnt that old...and Dacourt was unsettled...Thats why those guys have left...Viduka will stay and fight till the death IMO.

Cheers

anyway, paul robinson has hit out on the aston villa deal... here are the details...

Robinson fury at Leeds stance

Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson has hit out at the club's decision to accept a £3m bid for his signature from Aston Villa.
Robinson looks set to complete a £3m move to Aston Villa at the weekend after the clubs agreed the fee on Thursday.

But the young England goalkeeper is angry at new chairman John McKenzie's suggestion that the fee was only agreed after Robinson made it clear he wanted to leave.

Robinson claimed he felt "used" by the new chairman.

In an interview with the Sun newspaper, he added: "The previous chairman of Leeds, Peter Ridsdale, contacted my agents just before he left the club suggesting I should be signing a longer, improved contract, which I was more than happy to do.

"After Professor McKenzie took over, my agents simply asked if that offer was still in place and were told it was not.

"So suggestions that I demanded a new contract are totally untrue.

"Also, as I had not asked for a new contract, I was not too disappointed that I was not being given one.

"This chairman has been running Leeds United for a few months, but I have never even met him or discussed my future with him.

"He is just trying to make himself look popular at my expense, and I feel disgusted by the way he is treating me and trying to turn supporters against me.

"I feel used."

Professor McKenzie had claimed: "Only when Doug Ellis, the chairman of Aston Villa, told me that Paul was keen to join them and had informally agreed personal terms did I enter into detailed negotiations."

But Robinson hit back, claiming: "Regarding Aston Villa, I have not been there, personal terms have not been agreed and the formal discussions that have taken place have been between the two chairmen without my knowledge."

Kewell at Arsenal will be great. With his pace and Henry's combined it will be very mighty.

Who will play in goal next year????

Thanks for replying but the question was meant to be about Leeds. But i am also interested in who will play in goal for the Gunners too.

I think Canizares could make the switch.

the economy is not what it used to be so all the smaller teams that spent a lot of money to make a team capable of winning a championship, now have to being selling their star players since they cannot afford their salary anymore.

"TALKS between Paul Robinson's advisors and Aston Villa are reported to have broken down at a very early stage.
Robinson's party were in talks with the Midlands club after Leeds United accepted their £3.25m bid earlier this week. It is not known at this stage why the talks broke down, or whether they can be resurrected.

A statement from the SEM Group, who represent Robinson, said: "Talks between Aston Villa Football Club and SEM on behalf of Paul Robinson, which officially began today (Friday) with the permission of Leeds United AFC, have broken down at a very early stage."

In the statement, Robinson, who is currently out of the country on holiday, said: "I am looking forward to returning to pre-season training at Leeds United."
