Layout Check

Hi guys,

I made a lay-out for a site called Graphicous, what is going to be a dutch graphics site and i want your opinion for it..What can be better, what is nice..just what you think..
[Please be as hard as you can, because i plan to get it online for a couple of years and don't want that with a site that people dont like]
[Its my 5th layout, and the first one that is really getting online ]

the "graphicious" just doesn't look right

maybe change the banner, it is a little hard to see the difference between the banner and text, rest of the layout looks good though

graphicious text is bad, dont bevel and emboss it and change text.

Other than that its cool.

Yeah but that is our logo so i cant change it

the pattern or whatever it is at the top is a bit normal these days, theres alot of sites with similar pattern things at the top

if you can't change the logo change the background so that i can stand out more.

This may sound harsh. If this is for a graphics web site it's simply not good enough.

What you want is originality, not some standard lay-out that can be found on all template web sites. Also the banner looks like it's been taken straight from a tutorial, as does the rest of the web site by the way!
You have to be original, inspire yourself with different things but don't go for that look that can be found on most (amateur graphics) web sites.

Thanks, i can do something with that comment But my personal thought is that the focus must be on the content, not the lay-out. So i kept it not to detailing...Thanks at Rochester too..
