watched Eragon last night...i didn't read the book, so i can't really compare..it was quite good, but it's clear the guy is a Tolkien fan:rolleyes:

Tombstone, on TV. Not bad, not bad, a decent example of a modern western. Not exactly a particularly good film, and totally unrealistic (guys riding twenty miles through the desert in dress suits and ending up imaculate), but enjoyable enough, although it did get a bit repetitive. Kurt Russell did a poor Kevin Costner impression, but Val Kilmer was top notch. Decent enough movie.

Mixed feelings towards this. Great film, but I'd not regard it as that great. Thankfully, it does avoid the whole pigeon-holing of being overly biased (making rioters into heroes or cops into just doing their job).

Wrongs on both sides. Just don't quite weep at it's majesty, or whatever. Christ, I hate the Christmas schedule.

I'll say, the only decent movies are ones I've seen a thousand times before, like Some Like it Hot. Everything else is utter ****.
