last night I watched two movies:
first The Cell, with Jlo, Vince Vaughn and the God that is Vincent D'Onofrio. Man that movie is so underrated and is so brilliant. the cinematography is excellent and the things these guys made up inside that mind of D'Onofrio's character is awesome.
then I watched Bubba Ho-Tep, in honor of The King Bruce Campbell's visit to Atlanta next week for a screening of his next movie, and Im going to meet him
I'd never seen the movie before and its really great. Bruce as Elvis and Ossie Davis as JFK. too cool.
and right now I just watched True Romance, which I hadnt seen in years, maybe since it was released.
what a great movie. I loved the beginning with Slater and Arquette falling in love. a truly great romantic scenes there. Gary Oldman's freaking Drexl Spivey. and then the Gandolfini-Arquette fight is excellent. and Denis Hopper "Sicilians come from n1ggers" story in from of Christopher Walken. and then the super violent climax with everybody there: Slater, Arquette, Rapaport, Chris Penn, Tom Sizemore, the Fabio guy and the Don Johnson clone, and the Italians. awesome script by QT and perfect work by Tony Scott specially in that final showdown
