There was a nice twist, it was fun, and I liked the ending, but it wasn't a 10/10. Had a very simplistic "sure our megarich plutocracy isn't great, but it's better than letting those animals take control" kind of message which I found grating.

The twist was probably the least good aspect of it. It was an awesome spectacle filled with good action, good dialpgie and everything made sense from the pacing to the casting tobthe music.

I love Nolan and can't wait for his next movie, which I hope will star Levitt this time.

Pretty sure Nolan isn't doing more Batmans. If someone wants "Robin" to be the next Batman (without any money BTW), he's going to have to direct it himself.

If TDKR isn't brilliant than I don't know what is....
Fellini's 8½. Batman is trash. It might be entertaining, expensive and even well acted trash, but it is still trash.

I just hate all ******* superhero movies. Comic books are for kids and asians.

Exactly. I can tolerate these Batmans, but draw the line at anything else. What grown man can spend money to see Spiderman and live with himself? "It's Superman! He wears red briefs over a spandex suit and flies! COOOOOOOOOOOOOL!" No it isn't cool, it's cool when you're 10.

Forget about action! Forget about special effects! Forget about good acting! This movie is brilliant based on it's sheer plot!! It isn't your regular superhero movie or even a regular movie. It is much more than that! It's plot is above and beyond! It is dark, intense and has a great rhythm from start till end.

Now I did understand if you had said that for The Avengers which I still haven't seen. But still I wouldn't consider it as trash because I like superhero movies and it does look pretty entertaining.

I like to see superhero movies that are different like Watchmen. I am not saying that you can compare Watchmen and TDKR because TDKR is totally on another level. But if they make movies like Green Lantern or Fantastic Four than I would hate to see superhero movies.

I will check out Fellini's 8½.

When I go to see any superhero movie I don't just go in to see that particular superhero like if he was my favorite. I actually don't have any favorite superhero and I have never read any comics. I go in there to see a movie as whole and I only like it if it has a good plot, acting etc...

If we start thinking like that about all the fictional characters than I don't think we will enjoy any action movie because technically there is always a superhero in action flicks like James Bond, Jason Bourne, etc.....

TDKR isn't a Batman film. It's a good movie that just happens to have those canon characters. The trilogy stands on its own, unlike pther superherp movies which crimble witot thwir multiverse and don't appeal to the mainstream audience.

My laptop is **** and so I'm using my phone and the screen is small so I don't see everything I type nor can I type properly. I've also been drunk, but other than telling someone I love them via PM I don't think it's spilled to the main boards.

Well the thing about these Batmans is that they may well be good films, I am willing to believe King that the plots are good and the acting is good and the cinematography is good, but the thing is they are good IN SPITE of the fact they are about a superhero, not BECAUSE of it. Obviously I cant speak with authority because I havent seen them but I imagine the aspects everyone likes about the story are not the bits where Batman prances about in a cape or drives around in a giant bat mobile..... why cant the talent that has gone in to the script and the film go into making a serious crime\terrorism movie which doesnt have to lever in silly costumes and antiquated ideas from a 60 year old children's comic.......
