I saw Le temps qui reste not so long ago by the same writer and director as Swimming Pool, which was also very interesting and unique. The story is about a homosexual photographer who finds out he has cancer and has about 3 months to live. It's a painful movie, but yet so wonderful at the same time... Ozon's definitely exploring the boundaries. I guess you have to be open minded to really appreciate this movie.

Knocked Up

not good enough to be over 2 hrs long but it's ok, nothin special or any climax or good enough ideas on the film not to have a climax.

and I'm Reed Fish, awful sh!t movie, has that cute girl from Gilmore Girls, the one with the nice voice innit.

haha that's funny you should post this because I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday! I was really bored yesterday (on my winter break from work right now) and decided to watch a movie when that Focus Features logo showed up on the screen as I was flipping channels..

So I stopped and it turns out the movie 'Swimming Pool' was starting, I'd heard of it but never seen it. Turned out to be a pretty good movie, definitely unique. It was a pleasant surprise, that's for sure.

hehe....I've never heard of that one, but from the brief reviews of it that I've checked out, it sounds pretty interesting, bro.

Here's a quick list of FF affiliated flicks I've seen that I consider to be noteworthy.....probably forgetting some

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Lost in Translation
Broken Flowers
Ice Harvest
Eastern Promises
Traffic?......I think
Talk To Me
Mean Creek
21 Grams
Wet Hot American Summer.......******* hilarious......underrated
Gosford Park
Motorcycle Diaries

I can't think of another production company with a better track record in the last decade than FF, man......maybe Miramax?

^^man, what a list....phenomenal call, bro. I totally forgot about Fox Searchlight. I pretty much get the same feeling when I see the FS logo as I do the FF one.

onto a more serious subject......who wins a fight to the death between Nolte and Busey's demon seeds? I sure as hell know which of the two that I'd like to give anal stimulation to....

Anyway. Jake is considerably older and has that insane, bat**** look about 'em, but how can one not be a brawling badass with a name like Brawley?

hmmmzer.....

Jake Busey

brawley Nolte

anyone have high-res pics of the scene from Fear where Marky Mark goes knuckle deep on Reese? I've come across the flick twice now on tv, but I missed that scene both times...or maybe it was edited out?

Anyway. I really love Reese and that dynamic jawline/chin of hers....man, you could probably fill two oversized Moose penises into that cavernous mouth of hers, and plus. she's like a bonafide blue-blood....she's a descendent of one of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence, man.....the bitch's nobility, yalls.

just watched Batman Begins for the first time...I have to say it really amazed me, it kicks every other superhero movie ass easily...by far the best Batman movie, Bale is amazing, but it's particularly the supporting cast that really makes it..Neeson, Caine, Freeman, even Katie Holmes is good..

it really cought my attention to the upcoming one, i'm really looking forward to it..if it's half as good as the first one, it still bests all of the other hero movies hands down

I just can't get what does everyone find about Batman Begins... It's just nothing special, if you ask me. Burton's version is far superior IMO.

i don't know, i just found that the tone that they found for the character and the gotham environment suited it better than any other batman movie..and the performances are far better than in the others..well, it's my opinion anyway

I don't know... Bale's got an inappropriate apperance for this role and Burton's version was gothic enough and Nicholson as Joker beats everyone in Batman Begins....

what's the difference between Bale and Clooney/Kilmer? for me Bale beats both as Batman...maybe the first Batman with Keaton and Nicholson is comparable to this one, but as I said, it's all of the other roles that brings Begins together, for me..

I think that they're both phenomenal movies and bring differing elements to the Batman franchise. I'm a bit partial to the Burton version only because it's one of those flicks of my youth that I've probably watched atleast a dozen or so times, but there's no denying the craftsmanship, storytelling and deep seeded doom and gloom that Christopher Nolan brought to his version. It's more adultand psychologically more thrilling, whereas the Burton take on the series is less heavy and more whimsical and humorous......i really couldn't pick one over the other.....
