Depp piece of chocolate.

Also watched Reservoir Dogs again, today. Great movie, better than Pulp Fiction, IMO.

Wath the original man, the new one doesn't even compare. The original is one of the best children's movies ever imo.

Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, just wow (Y). Two of my favorite movies of all time. I'd still rate Pulp Fiction just a bit above Dogs. It's still amazing to me though how QT was able to attract the cast he did for his first ever directed movie.

lol......don't even get me started on those little nerdy things. They're what my pops presented me with upon my high schoold graduation.....had them in this sweet lookin vintage box (I was think an expensive watch all teh way) and in come out these two little dark golden things inscribed with my initials and graduating year.......what a ******* let down......couldn've been more disappointed, man. Although I didn't show it at the time, I wanted to cry right there in public that afternoon, man.

Don't worry, I'm sure they mentally scraped away the facade and saw the sheer gutwrenching despair in your eyes.

Best horror movie to come out in years. I actually didn't feel like I got cheated out of $7 when it was over which ALWAYS happens with horror flicks these days. It had a very twighlight zone-ish feel to it which I liked and even though I'm not a big fan of John Cusack I thought he did a solid job, and I mean he had to since he's the only actor on screen for a good 70% of the movie.

He somehow got the script to Harvey Keitel, can't remember how. That pretty much sealed the deal.

Aye, somehow through a connection at Lawrence Bender's (his producer) acting class, it got to Harvey Keitel. Originally he was gonna shoot it with a $40'000 budget on 16mm, with him and Bender taking two of the major roles themselves, but when Keitel jumped on board he was suddenly given $1m to spend. It really is a fairytale. Originally, he offered the part of Mr Orange to James Woods, whose agent rejected it without showing him the script. Woods went on to fire that agent.

And yeah, Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka is one of the seminal performances in childrens movies.

A Cro/Serb/Bosnian/Macedonian movie about a Yugoslav border post on the (former) Yugo-Albanian border. Quite funny movie, with some interesting symbolism in it as well, but the ending felt a bit rushed.

Watched Munich, liked it. I don't like Steven doing so many films about jewish deaths, though. In this one I got a sense that he was trying to not piss off arabs too much. After every sympathy-towards-the-jews scene there was a 'well, here's the other side of things' scene. Lead actor was pretty good, though.

Edmond.

Meh... who thinks of ****ed-up scripts like that one? Seriously, the ending at least is so wrong it's not even funny.

^^......you didn't like it, brah? Mamet is one of the best contemporary writers around.....his dialogues.....second to none imo.

Anyway, yeah. It is a ****ed up movie, but brilliantly written nonetheless.

btw, how did you come by it?

Yossarian;2274838 said:
Anyway, yeah. EDMOND! It was recommended strongly out of the blue by a friend of mine and boy am I glad that he brought it to my attention. It sort of reminded me in some instances of Taxi Driver and Fightclub except that it was a bit more depressing and emotional in some key parts. Well written, casted and acted, man. Just ******* stunting to watch William H.. Macy and the rest of the cast deliver Mamet's raging and tormented dialogue.

BTW, when did the actor formerly known as William H. Macy all of a sudden jus' become plain ole' Bill Macy?

I liked it, and the writing was great indeed, but it still is f*cked up, in a good way though. Great acting too, especially by William Macy. (Y)

Just watched 'In America', pretty good.

Having your name on them is pretty lame, but cufflinks in general can be uberdandy if you get a nice pair, they are the one form of jewellery sartorially permitted to a man and that's something to be made the most of! I am thinking of getting a pair but am strugging to find any that really suit me.

A good, "Suck my dick, bitch....I'm well off" watch (preferably gold, or sterling silver) and nothing else......that's the school I come from, man. This buttoning up yer collars/cuffs with jewellery....wassup with that ****, man? Ain't my thing.

cool, cool.

What did you think of Fat Tony's cameo? Mantegna's a total badass, man. He instantly livens up a movie.
