Lagging Problem with PES 6

Just installed PES 6 on my new PC and it is lagging badly in game whereas before on my old PC it wasn't yet I am using the same graphics card (ATI Radeon Pro X1600). I would be grateful for any ideas on rectifying this problem. Cheers.
