Moyes says his way of managment is more like Mourinho than Guardiola.

Moyes was asked at his unveiling on Thursday whether his style of management was closer to that of ex-Real Madrid boss Mourinho or former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.

He responded by saying that his "tough" approach made him more similar to the current Chelsea manager, and also took the opportunity to compare his new challenge to the one he faced when arriving at Goodison Park over a decade ago with Everton struggling in the Premier League.

Generally speaking, one of them likes to dominate the opponent from the fisrt to the last minute of the match, the other one prefers to be dominated and break on the counter.

What would Moyes be then? The guy who tells the team to keep hoofing the ball forward and hope for the best? I doubt Mourinho would call it being dominated though, more like being in control of the match probably, which wouldn't sound too wrong.

Hmmm this is supposed to be a serious video, but had me on the verge of laughing throughout. The cheesy music doesn't exactly help either, leaves even more of a comedic effect. He looks awkward and way out of his depth there, like someone who chose a project without doing zero research, and is now actually coming to terms what lies ahead of him.

I wonder if he even knew every player he was greeting. "Nice to see you" and "Real Sochedad". Some of the players looked to be grinning in a weird way as well, which reminds me this thing i read about De Rossi when Roma appointed Rudi García.

“When I heard that Roma had signed Garcia, I searched the internet, it came out with a video in which he played the Porompompero with the guitar,” De Rossi has explained this week to So Foot.

“I was with the national team, I called Pirlo and told him: ‘Look at who we have brought in!’

I was hoping to see him say something in Spanish, "hola jugadores! soy el mejor entranador del mundo" when entering the locker room for example. Nah, but more like how he would sound.

All joking aside he looks excited and i hope he does well there. He's not a bad coach by no means, just it didn't work out for him with us. Anyway the video:

Edit: At 01:34, it seems that Real Sociedad have Eva Carneiro's long lost sister working for them.

why is he is saying "nice to see you" to everyone in English? who was the last Brit to cross the channel and speak "forrinn"? McManaman?

Beckham barely speaks English, so he can be forgiven ... Bale hasn't even bothered ... and all Barton managed was English in a mock French accent ... make an effort, ffs ...

it's clearly not impossible ... I mean, even after all these years -- and the drugs and alcohol that went with it -- Gazza can cobble together some passable Italian:

Hodgson is [unfortunately] probably the best example, even though polyglotism is his most admirable quality ...

Yeah, saying mucho gusto or whatever is being used during occasions like this shouldn't be that difficult. I don't think the players cared that much, but he probably would've left a better impression of himself as well, instead of looking awkward. Afterall he's gonna have to work with these players for some time at least. But i don't think there's any need to blow this out of proportion. In the end it's the results that matter not how he communicates with his players.

So Messi is La Liga's all time scorer.

If he had Ronaldo's average in the league he'd have beaten Zarra's record a couple of years ago. (H)
