Sergio Ramos criticized Del Nido's remarks (Del Nido said La Liga was the biggest joke of any league in the world) by saying, "If you don't like it, find another league."

While Cazorla may not be Aguero, City didn't sign players like Aguero in there first couple of seasons with cash. They built, each year investing more, and learning very slowly by their mistakes. They know not to buy a Balotelli now. Or to fill there squad with dozens of players they pay too much money and have to loan out or let go for free (Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Bellamy etc.). They bought players to take them to the next step. First; try to get near Champions League places, Second; get into Champions League and get a trophy, Now ; win the league. Malaga are following the same process. I think in less that 10 years they could be challenging if they build a stable team with quality players and keep a manager with a plan there.I think 5 years from now they will be in the top two.

Málaga is outplaying Granada at the half time with a very enjoyable attacking football. Cazorlita is having an awesome match in a free roaming role. 2-0 goals by Cazorla and Joaquín. The team looks like this:

--------------Willy-----------------
Gámez--Micho---Mathijen--Eliseu
-------------Toulalan---------------
Joaquín------Cazorla----------Duda
-----------Buonnanote--------------
----------V.Nistelrooy---------------

Very exciting project, they will have a €80M budget in signings next summer if manage to get into an European competition.

I don't think Granada will have more than 25 points by the end of the season.

In other recently-promoted-Andalucian news, Betis' new signing Tosic says "Betis are better than Sevilla, just look at the table." Hahaha, two games into the season...

The Malaga team looks absolutely brilliant on paper. Admittedly Ruud is knocking on a bit now, as is a few others, but I mean thats a solid team. If they gel and everything this season they could rack up a hell of a lot of points. Obviously the top two is out of the question but they could knock on their door.

Aside from Ruud, Cazorla, and Joaquin, who do you rate highly on that team?

Lots of goals this week, but no real stand-outs. Here is the best imo:

Cejudo, Osasuna - Sporting Gijon

In the absense of more spectacular goals, here is a spectacular miss

Real Betis hit the post three times in five seconds

Reyes, Diego, Arda and Falcao starters. Won't miss that.

EDIT: Arda to Reyes, cut back pass to Falcao and 1-0 (H)

I just notices that Athletico, Sevilla and Valencia don't have any sponsor on their shirt this year. They are all suffering from financial crisis, so what's the reason behind that?

Falcao score 4 goals at the HT but referee disallow 2.

goal machine restarted.

Standings after three matches:

1 Valencia 9
2 Betis 9
3 Barcelona 7
4 Sevilla 7
5 R. Madrid 6
6 Málaga 6
7 Levante 5
8 Rayo 5
9 Atlético 4
10 R. Sociedad 4
11 Zaragoza 4
12 Osasuna 4
13 Espanyol 3
14 Mallorca 3
15 Granada 3
16 Athletic 1
17 Getafe 1
18 Racing 1
19 Villarreal 1
20 Sporting 0

It's crazy to draw any conclusions at this point, but Betis are off to an impressive start and Villareal are doing terribly. Credit to all three relegation teams for racking up some points.

Villarreal is back on bussiness, they are outplaying Mallorca with an outstanding Borja Valero, so glad i got him in the draft :D. 55', 2-0; goals by Nilmar and Pepito Rossi, another of my guys (H).

EDIT: Great performance by Cristián Zapata, who had a shaky start at Villarreal with some blunders, huge sign for Groguets.

Málaga - Athletic club, interesting match. Duda is this new CMF role a bit like Giggs is better than on the wing, also Eliseu improved as LB.

----------------Willy----------------
Gámez---Micho--Mathijsen-Eliseu
-------------Toulalan----------------
------Cazorla---------Duda---------
-Joaquín-----------Baptista--------
--------------RVN-------------------

Hard to understand how is Bielsa playing, looks like a 3-5-2.

EDIT: Looks like this

-----------------Iraizoz----------------------
----Iraola----Ekiza----Javi Martínez----
-----------Iturraspe--Gurpegui---------------
----Susaeta--------------------Gabilondo--
-----------------De Marcos------------------
----------LLorente---------Muniain---------
