They have to be ps2 screenshots, they surely can't be ps3 screenshots. :boohoo:

But, the last two versions are proof that Konami are incompetent so it wouldn't suprise me if that was next gen screenshots.

"the closest simulation of real football to date."

You have to take what Konami say with a pinch of salt, and again the last two versions are proof.

I get the feeling it's a bunch of muppets working at Konami so i'm not getting my hopes up to high for there to be a major difference with last years version.

:funny: is that really neccesary

Hmmm, I don't like the look of that screen. I'd rather they keep that sort of thing out of the game. It'll get repetitive and boring after a few times, because they won't have implemented it properly, most likely.

Implemented properly or not, it will get repetitive and boring very quickly.. Match interviews? They can barely get the commentary to sound realistic. Expect repetitive lines like, "Yes I scored a nice goal and it was a good overall team performance" or even worse.
PES is beginning to sound like FIFA, with its developers adding unnecessary stuff when they fail to improve on other aspects.

I think they should add the managers into the game so we see Ferguson chewing his gum , Jose looking moody. That would be cool.

The screenshots are a couple of months old and they are NOT High Def, Read this from Winning Eleven next Gen Blog Homepage:-

"Having just contacted Konami UK, we informed them that today's announcement has received a mixed response from the internet community. We have asked a couple of questions that they managed to clear up for us.

Which platform are these screen shots from?
The answer is next-gen platform i.e. anyone of PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. We doubt that Konami would ever release sensitive information highlighting if any particular console has a better looking version or any significant improvements/weaknesses on a particular platform. But with more images and details being released in the future it will soon become apparent if such is the case.

They want us to emphasize that these are very early shots of the game that were taken a couple of months ago and are only teaser shots that aren't at high-resolution. They stress that the you will see a vast improvement over the next few months. They also highlight that to truly understand why this game is a next-gen version you will have to see it in full motion i.e. video."

So wait and see........you never know Konami might have finally done good:wootman:

Then tell your konami friends to give us recent stuff and not this pre beta PS1 crap. Looks even worse than the broken 360 version. We got tired of their yearly ripped off with same engine same sound just a couple of new animations

I bloody hope the TeamvisionAI thing makes it harder, getting a bit silly how easily you can exploit flaws in the AI defences nowadays.

Still, looks good.

I know I should not get my hopes up .. but does this mean that they have taken out ASSISTED cpu passing and given up manual passing? No more press for a pass to the player you want only for the cpu to pick another player and pass it to him instead!

just had a read of the release , all this new team AI closing down your wingers and marking you forward if you go for crosses and other changes if you play through the middle is all well and good.

But if its still the same old assisted cpu passing which means we don't get to put or pass the ball to the player we want or where we want it to go.. then what is the point of all the rest..

mate learn how to pass manually, most strongest weapon in pes

What take my button (right)thumb off the buttons and move it on to the right analog stick while my index finger and second finger which are on the right shoulder buttons 1 and 2 (top bottom) I twist my wrist and bend it over to try and press the manual pass button with the finger that is on the sprint button R1.

yeah right!

No , make the game manual passing, in other words the normal pass button B on my Logitech wingman game pad make that a power pass button and untie the passing from the CPU. In other words , I get to play the ball where I want and not where the CPU decides to play it.

But for those who can't pass a ball unless the CPU is assisting , then they can have an Arcade passing option.
