Konami: Pc version with TCP/IP online!

There were some doubts if PC was only for LAN or not, but Konami said on their German site (there is the European headquarter) that you can play on-line by TCP/IP

They also formally announced the release date for both the PC and Xbox at 19th november.

great. Now I hope this release date is 100% sure cause last time an "official" source came with the 12th of November. So we just have to wait a little longer

I don't think so
I will buy the Xbox-version, which will be released at the 19th as well, but I know a gameshop in my place who always has the game some days earlier. On their website it also says 15 november. Some shops are able to sell it just a bit earlier, you know

I was also going to do the same but decided to wait, just in case the PC version was on-line....

glad I waited now, saved me £140 and having to have a big chunky x-box taking up space, which I didn't really want

I was hoping to get PES4 at the end of October, because Metal Gear Solid 3 comes out on the 16th of this month. I can see my wife will be yelling at me alot in the month of November.

Does anyone know how the online mode will be structured? i mean i am wondering whether you'll be able to pick any team you like (i.e. brazil) or whether there's going to be some sort of ML mode in which you have to build up and become stronger the more you win...

and how will they prevent people from cheating (like editing all player's stats up?)...

anyway, i can't wait... this is going to be the best thing since the invention of sliced bread

how does TCP/IP work? do we need an extra software or something to connect to each other? or it's just one click like other online games?

You'll probably just need the ip address of your opponent, and maybe do some funky things with ports etc, if you're behind a firewall like me.

each one of us has an IP address asigned by your ISP (internet service provider), you can know which one is it by looking at your internet configuration settings.

There is a program in windows called ipconfig which you need to run in dosmode. It displays your IP.
