Know any traditional herbs and cures for cancer?

I am starting a project for school researching on medicinal herbs which are known to have anti-cancer or cancer fighting properties. Perhaps you guys can help?

It can be in a form of a plant being known to fight cancer, or a tradional herb formulation commonly seen in chinese and malay medicine. I would prefer plants in the south-east asia as other plants would probably be hard for me to obtain and also are very well research already.

Any help would be appreciated regardless of race though! Thanks

As of now, i've not heard of any cure for cancer..:confused: but i recently saw on the news that Italian scientists are researching on a cancer cure..

this is a serious project for my school and is worth 2 modules which will really affect my GPA.

It doesnt really have to cure cancer, but at least have cancer combating properties. I have already found some teas and chinese herbs that have such properties already.

I don't think any herb or tea can fight cancer, but they can prevent it.

IMO if given a chance you should turn to the properties of sharks. Scientists have been investigating sharks for a long time, because they are the species on earth that has a lesser, almost non existent rate of cancer. It's something about their bones or something. This would be more interesting than herbs. :p

carcinogens in it.. funny thing is that most chinese people probably duno that, they just know its the good stuff.

oh btw, im chinese just in case u're wondering, and theres litterally hundreds of carcinogens in the form of chinese herbs; i just duno their names.. sry couldnt be of more help

I'm a chinese and i learnt this fact from a green tea drink advertisement..:p all they said was that green tea has the ability to protect us against cancer..they never elaborate on it..

There's this plant I've had to do a work on, it's called anamu and its scientific name is "Petiveria alliacea" it's known to have anti-carcinogenic properties thanks to benzyl trisulphide and coumarin who are present on the plant... it works well against liver cancer as well as leukemia but not as good against breast cancer...

unfortunately it's an amazon plant, but I suppose it can be found in other rainforests and southern asia could fit in it....

i think a pair of Canadians found the cure a long time ago but forgot to write down what they had done while they were doing it. im not sure if thats true or if its just something they told us in class so we would keep track of what we put in our science experiments back in elementary school.

Alovera, On your Sunburn which can turn into cancer, but i've heard alovera can cure skin cancer though. ;)
