Klinsmann retires

:( :( :( :(
According to several big german newspapers Jürgen Klinsmann told German Football federation president that he won't sign a new contract.
According to sources, Klinsmann has different plans for his life, he does not want to be a long-time coach but live with his family in California and he's still pissed about all his critics who suddenly disappeared when Germany was successfull (Beckenbauer, Breitner, Meier, Hoeness).
Sad for german Football fans but he goes his own way and thinks long-term (Y) .
His successor wil likely be Joachim Löw, his assistant during the last years (actually more than an assistant, he made big part of the game tactics, but he does not have the charisma) who is expected to continue Klinsmann's philosohy. Buzt who knows, maybe German Federation begins to fight against each other again and a new coach will be installed like Christoph Daum, Sammer or Hitzfeld.

Lippi will most likely follow Klinsmann and retire in the next days, the two dominant coaches in this WC won't continue.

Is it a coincidence that the two best German coaches, Hitzfeld and Daum, are currently without a job?

I'm not too worried, the German FA will hire a good coach who will have a great core of young players to work with.

Hitzfeld, Daum (Y)
Rehhagel (N)
Matthäus :| (N)
Sammer (:/)

Well, you don't know. Most expect him to retire entirely from coaching. But maybe there's a small chance he's still coach, no one knows right now.

He will just go back to LA and enjoy his life. If he wanted to coach a team for the next couple of years he would have stayed.

hum I don't know Vince, in the US he can join both being a coach and staying close to his family.
plus coaching a NT leaves you with some spare time to do things you like outside of football I guess, just ask Scolari which does d'ck when Portugal isn't playing.

Yes, coach the US team!

Live in SoCal where everyone is laid back and relaxed. Nobody knows who you are. Your "critics" are random people on message boards, not big media. Work close to your home. Low expectations (qualify for 2010 and beat Mexico). Decent team.
Sounds good to me ;)
