And if you start the setup.exe of kitserver again and click "remove", everything's fine, yes? Well... i think you can click on "details" in that message. Please try to collect as much details as possible (there is especially one memory address that is important, but i don't know how it's called exactly in Vista) and send me a PM with that. I got Vista from the university where i study now, but didn't install it yet. Also mine is the 32 bit version, and i could also imagine problems because of the 64 bit... Well, we'll see.

Ok... so not a problem of the 64 bit version, good. Actually i thought you would get a message like this:

That's very bad because it gives me no point to start at and therefore no chance to fix it. I'm going to install Vista as second OS in the next days. If i get the same error it's easier for me to check what's happening. However if someone knows how to get to the "extended" view with the details, please tell us.
EDIT: Maybe you can enable it in "Control Panel>Problem Reports and Solutions".

Me too. But with version 7.0.0b mine didn't work, that's why i released 7.0.0c. Maybe someone could send me the exe he uses so i can have a look if the installation of kitserver went wrong?

I have a problem though. Kitserver 7c patches it no problem, I get no more of "your system blah blah isn't good enough" but the game runs in the lowest settings anyway, no matter what I choose in settings. Any ideas?
Tried uninstalling kitserver, repatching original exe etc...

i have the full version of pes2008 i do as told in the manual i use kitserver7c and it says it's correctly installed, but when i turn on the settings i can't choose anything new, it's the same with or without the kitserver? i don't understand..

There was 1280x1024 res. in kitserver for demo...

But there is not in Kitserver 7.0.0c

or can someone upload his settings.exe if 1280x1024 res is open

Please always use the latest version (unless we tell you not to do so) if you find any bugs. Only so we can make sure that the bug isn't already fixed and we are looking for some mistake which does no longer exist. I think some kind of bug reporting tool would be very helpful for us...

Basically there are two things to patch, the settings.exe and the game exe. At first sight, you don't see any difference, but now you can select high details in the settings. However, this isn't enough. It's saved in the settings.dat, but not used because the game has its own checks. So without the game exe patch, you'd be able to choose high settings, but the game would display an error message and use the lowest details. As you describe it, you don't get that message? Well, this would mean that there is another check... very strange because it worked fine in the demo.

Seems like i have a lot of déjà-vues... this is at least the fifth time that you are asking the same question.
Btw, kitserver didn't add resolutions in the demo, only enable high details. For more resolutions: Look here

No. By now, kitserver only enables playing in higher quality. We are working on more features, but it's difficult. Btw, even when it's finished you won't have all the kits, only the POSSIBILITY to use them. You'd still need the graphics (which are not part of kitserver).

I'm pretty sure I found out whats the catch... I have both demo and retail installed, and when I choose settings with settings.exe in retail version settings.dat for demo gets changed...
So I copied the settings.dat from the directory demo uses to directory retail uses and voila I can play in whatever res i choose.
Gonna uninstall the demo and tell you if that fixes it.

Nope it doesn't.
Uninstalled, deleted all the directories left and ran settings.exe again. It remade the CUsers\morg\Documents\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 DEMO directory and wrote the settings.dat in it.

hey, to the people using Vista 64 bit, and also who have 4 GB of ram, ive been told that PRO EVO wont use all that 4 gig and will only run on 2 gig...so im gonna suggest something that might help, something you can do without physically removing 2 gig of memory.

Type msconfig into the start/search box. On the 'Boot' tab, select
'Advanced Options' and check 'Maximum memory'. Set it to 2GB.

Can someone try this and verify if it works?

Kitserver 7.0.0c works perfectly, but without fixed exe applied. Just install pes2008, DO NOT apply the crack, install kitserver 7, download fixed image from gamecopyworld, run y.a.s.u and.. play the game; )

[edit] of course before running y.a.s.u you need to mount this fixed image first ;d

Big Problem

i have a good computer for the game pes 2008
p4 3gig
2 gb ram
nvidia geforce 8600 gts
latest drivers for xp are installed 163.71
but i can't run the game on high settings as it suddenly make framedrops i don't know why though can anyone help?

Again nothing new, so if version 7.0.0c works for you, you don't need this update. It's only a bugfix for the FLT no-dvd exe.

After copying the new files, you have to run the setup.exe again and click on "Remove" and then "Install" to see the changes!!!

please help i can't really play the game cuz of the slowdowns although i played the demo on max settings 1280x1024 high details 8x aa 8x af but the full version sucks i don't know why
i think the game has lot of bugs so will konami release a patch to fix this problem or it will live users talk to themselves like usual?

first of all, thank you very much for your great job...
I've just bought PES2008 and I tried all the Kitserver version (included 7.0d) but I can't still play enable all the resolution in settings dialog.
My configuration is
cpu Intel Dual Core E6750
RAM 2 GB 800MHz
gpu Gf 8600 GTS 256 MB
It seems that kitserver ha sno impact on my executables...
They result different but I can'f find any added resolution.
The only way I could play at 1280x1024 was using the setting.dat generated by the settings.exe fixed for Demo version. Indeed, if I overwwrite this file in Documents/KONAMI/Pes2008 I succeded in playing at 1280x1024.
Have you got any idea?
