Kits??????

I have got a texture for fifa 2003 kits and its a bmp but i dont have a clue how to make them in adobe photoshop (i have 6.0) i have tryed but it just wont work can someone send me a tutorial on how to make or even a brief one on how to change the colours and to put logos and stuff on. I may need a texture aswell if the bmp one is the wrong one i got it from socceraccess! I need to know thank! My email is [email protected]

1/ add a new layer ovet the background texture
2/ set the new layer style tom "Multipy"
3/ filling an area of the new layer with a color will change the color of the kit, but the background texture is still visible
4/ add another layer over
5/ set it's style to normal
6/ paste logos onto this new layer
